DS: Magic:Impact VS Swift Attack

    What's better? Magic:Impact or Swift Attack for Dual Swords? What's your opinion people?

    Impact:
    1st, u will get it for finale ender.
    2nd, it can activate from any distance & compared to swift that only activate in 2m range.
    If ur in a situation that the boss keeps on moving, u will need to keep chasing it just for swift to activate.
    Or, a boss that is an anti-melee that makes u unable to close that two meters distance.

    Impact = Finale Ender and Rampage Prorate UP (Increase Normal Proration)

    Swift ATK = Higher Chance Tumble / Rampage Prorate Down (Decrease Normal Proration)

    in terms of range impact have no advantage vs swift attack (because impact+sc will lower damage output if you cast too far in target)

    If you dont really care about normal proration and enough SP Swift Attack+Finale Ender is more Better than Impact+Finale Ender because Impact can provoke mobs in mini boss area (and Swift attack give more additional damage compare to impact)

    in your 2nd opinion its only work in OHS/THS (such as Impact+sukuchi+meteor smite). because SC will force activate 0m~12m (which make SC lower damage in far area)

    in SR common combo is (Shadowstep+SR smite) to fast execution in anti melee boss

    they disabled the abuse of finale as combo ender once, so it might happen again. it might be tolerated now, but certainly wasn't intentional.
    i wouldn't use "you get it anyway because finale ender" as an argument.

    impact costs 22-25sp, swift attack costs 10sp.
    impact has no range limit, swift attacks has 3m activation range.
    impact hits within a 3m radius, swift attack is single target.

    whether AoE is good or bad depends on what skills you use afterwards. if you have only single target attacks, AoE is mostly a negative aspect.
    the range limit is not really restricting to DS because most of your attacks short ranged, and shining cross gets weaker with increased distance.
    i'd say it stands 2:1 for swift attack.

    I had tried both in diffrent bosses, so that's why I had said that impact was better to use in every situation. I know that swift>SC was better for proration. And, impact lower the dmg of SC, if u cast on longer distances. But my point is u can't use swift attack on anti-melee or those who keeps on moving boss/miniboss. Example, seraph machina it makes a spike aoe(4m) around him, if ur using swift attack u will be needing to wait until that spike aoe is gone before even getting close to start a combo. That also applied on other bosses that makes an aoe that sorrounds it. Second example, a boss that keeps on moving, if ur using swift attack u will need to keep on chasing it, just to hit it to start ur combo, while if u use impact u just need to get close to instantly start the combo. U better tried it with different boss/mino boss becoz trying to hit that swift attack on a 2-3m distance that wasn't always work in every situation ^~^.

    Thank you for all the answers. I appreciate it. I decided to take both, since each skill can be used in certain situations.
