OK, I'd like to start by saying that I wrote this guide to help out everybody like me who was confused about dual wielding. I hope it helps!
My dual wielder is only lvl 29, but I will update this at 50 and at cap
Stats: I am going with 70 agi (edit: 60 agi is what I went with because with the passives and a light ooze armor equipped I already have 1200 atk spd) and the rest will be dex, because in my opinion the point of a 2-blade is going to be atk spd with reasonable dmg.
Skills: I have maxed. Dual Sword Mastery, Dual Sword Control, Godspeed, Twin Slash, Spinning Slash
I have 2 points in hard hit (planning on 5), and 4 points in Sword Mastery (I will max that and the passive skill after that, which I am currently forgeting the name of) I also plan on maxing Cross Parry
My thoughts on the dual wielding skills:
All 3 of the new passives are important to max out, for obvious reasons... without them, you will atk slower and less accurately, and also with way less power... not fun, in my opinion..... take the old sword skills for the same reason, because yes, they do count (in case any of u were wondering)
Hard hit is a classic, but to me it is only good for starting combos, 2-blades wont break that well, so I only am doing 5 points for now
Twin Slash does good dmg, and is worth maxing out, but be warned, it is not a break tool, it is too unreliable for that
Honestly, I took Spinning Slash because it sounded like a badass move, and I kept it because it felt badass ^_^ In mh opinion, however, the dmg is good, and it is useful for farming. (WARNING: You will still want a mage with u to farm, the aoe doesnt do enough dmg to kill most mobs, it doesnt last very long, what makes it useful for farming is that it aggros them to u in huge groups, so all u gotta do is lead them into a mages aoe, and poof, more mobs have been slayed)
(Edit: Spinning Slash has proven useful to me in boss battles because it blinds the boss a good portion of the time, usually long enough for me to dodge 1 atk. Coupled with Hard Hit it seems to keep me safe throughout my combos, at least for nowwhile my combos are short... which is why I wish to add Cross Parry to my skill set, so I can safely lengthen those combos, although atm not aure how well that will work)
I want Cross Parry because the dmg reduc sounds like a way awesome way to make a 2-blade less flimsy
Problems with Dual Wielding: Very flimsy, but that is to be expected. Just dodge the aoes and keep a tank handy, and u should be fine... Other than, that dual wielding is pretty powerful, me and my guildies have been taking top ranks in all spots for every boss fight we've done so far

I hope u like the guide, and that it helps u all bunches ^_^

For dual wielding equips with this 60 agi build, firstly, dont worry about adding atk spd... the cap is 1200, as I found out the hard way... so no bd swords here, because with 60 agi and all 5 of the passives I listed, u will have at least 1200 atk spd.
Try adel or ruin swords, I use adel for my norm, and ruin anywhere the element is useful. U could do a good pc made blade, try to go with dex, crit, and dmg boosting stats, or maybe some evade or dodge to boost your safety, just remember, the 2nd sword needs no slot, the xtal wont count.
For armor, use lightened ooze, preferably npc crafted. However, I always suggest buying pc crafted armor specified to what u need, if u have the cash, it helps the economy, and all those poor ppl who have to lvl a pure vit bs, hahaha :p ... again, go with either atk, dex, crit, or some sort of dodge
For an additional, I use a bd crown, the atk mp recover and dmg boost are extremely useful, in my opinion it is the best option
For special I would go dex II talis with a slot, u only need about this much mp, and the dmg boost helps
I am no expert on xtals, but here are some ideas:
-eerie xtal, it makes mp recover amazing, and is the reason I emphasize the slotted talisman
-boss goblin xtal, cuz considering how many times u atk, any crit rate boost is amazing
-warmonger xtal, for the same reason as boss gob
I might add more xtals, i am examining the list now

Can I use my 2h to fight boss with u like 5x? See what the attack rate dw can have? Of course after u have max item and lvl. I find a lot of skills are useless in duel wield. I only max the passive and went blade skill. Until I can check the rate of a dw. I won't want to be rash and throw in random stats points.

Sure, if u wanna see the atk spd for my dual-wielder, I can be online pretty much any time... although ftr I am lowering the amount of agi to 60, because I already havw 1900 atk spd, and that is more than enough
This is obviously a early dw guide, and I will add in more as I go

Not about atk speed. I wanna see ur damage to bosses and see the attacker spot (the bar) and see how much damage u relatively deal out.

Oh, I see... for now, I deal on average 80 dmg per hit, and get about 4-5 hits per second.... the damage will definitely be higher when I finish up, but as it is, with a lvl 40 pure int mage as the only other in my pt I did about 60-70% of the damage to the forest wolf boss... tested it multiple times, and that was about the average every time

I had a lvl40 duel wield. Not properly built. I went forest wolf and took around 20 to 25sec on average to solo it.

I guess it can be around 15sec if I deck it out on equipment and stats and lvl.

So I switch it back my 2h. It is either 1 combo that kill it or 1 combo with 2 normal atk at most. It around 2 to 5sec.. In that case I really afraid of the dps from duel wield is not within my expectations. Especially I love to do solo bosses.

TBH, atm I have no good way of keeping track of my dps right now, the numbers flash by too fast, especially when u toss in the constant dmg from spinning slash... in my opinion, if u add cross parry, hard hit, and spinning slash together then u should be nearly untouchable during your whole combo, making it useful for soloing bosses

In that case it might be very very possible to solo bosses with ease.

Yes, especially considering that it only takes lesa than a second to charge up 1 mp bar, spamming a combo should be as fast as you can tap the button

Why do you max dual sword mastery, I thought the higher the level the skill is the lower the critical rate and accuraccy?!

No, dw automatically lowers your crit rate and accuracy, the dual sword mastery brings it back up tl normal

I'm starting my first swordsman and learning through trial and error. Currently on swordsman take #2. I have 2- 1 slotted swords. If I take dual wield will I get effect from xtal in second sword? To phrase another way does dual sword skill set trump restrictions on secondary weapon stats and Xtal? Much appreciated! ^^

I think is better to balanced Dex and Agi because agi increases your secondary sword damage without it the damage dealt by the secondary sword is low.
(Tell me your opinion about my idea:))

    Well to answer your questions,
Well to answer your question, only elemental effect and stability affects the secondary sword ( critical rate too but I'm not so sure) other stats does not and if your xtal has stats other than what I mentioned earlier it won't work

Ty much appreciated, the idea of playing with dual elements sounds fun. Though I imagine the primary weapon element would still apply to skills.
