Easiest to class to level LUK and TEC characters?

1. So i wouldn't recommend TEC>DEX for statting because BS prof levels now decrease statting material cost so better make an active BS (with cap BS prof) as your main statter. Refining ok, but makes sense to combine with your TEC>DEX synth as well
2. VIT>TEC is better then VIT>DEX because TEC improves your difficulty for crafting. Sub-DEX would only be good if you were planning to make arm BS and bowgun BS all in one char
3. I chose DEX/LUK over INT/LUK for my farmer char as a personal preference and because i'm lazy to main mages on top of all my physical dps chars. But MD/storm farming is also quite viable (but leveling with finale may be harder at venena without dying a lot, and therefore leeching)
4. If you are going for 5 lock, then yes you need DEX as second stat

 

Even just a synth+refine+stat would use 185 skill points. Adding in body armor takes it up to 250 skill points. It doesn't leave enough points to level?

Edit: Okay, so re-reading, I think I misunderstood you, 3 characters would be best.
1. TEC>DEX for synthesist 5 lock
2. LUK>INT for farmer, refiner, tamer works fine
3. TEC>VIT or VIT>TEC for refiner, statter, body armor. Would one be preferable?

 

Always depends of your equipment that you can have.
In my case, i have Bayonette Bowgun +S and 2 Slot:
»BS TEC»DEX: Cross Fire is really good and is enough Lock4 (100%) because Lock5 is 80% success and it will fail and dissapear all.
»BS DEX»STR: Cross Fire and more skill buff like GSW and Brave Aura.
»BS DEX»AGI: Cross Fire and Chariot, Bowgun + Knuckles user or viceverse (Depends of Crusher Skills).
Have Hell Reaper Halber +S and 2 Slot:
»BS STR»AGI: Dragon Tooth DPS and buff skill Brave Aura
Have drop equipment for tank:
»BS VIT»DEX: Is better use VIT»TEC, but I use this character with DEX like seconds stat for Merce too when i go to farm boss alone.
Last have Staff 4th Anniv:
»BS INT»DEX: Like the BS VIT, Is better use TEC like second stats.

In LUK character will be Mage or HB, but mage is cheaper that halberd.

Maybe my advantage is my armor two slot for physical (ATK8% CDMG 10% CRT CDMG 20), magical (IM7%), Time Warp Watch (Guignol+Tuscog) and food buff (HP, MP, AMPR, -AGGRO and CRT LV8).
But try to get one equipment for multi character (BS TEC»DEX and DPS CF), you can save more spina that create many types of builds and waste your spina.

 

This bs prof = reduce mat cost was a curve ball l dun think anyone expected..
No one paid mind to bs prof..now all statters have to (esp if low mat cap) xD
Even l have to use all sp now .-.)

According to my calculation I could get all the bs proficiency skills on my tec>dex synth/statter/refiner. I have the bare minimum of CF set skills. For app synth I don't think I currently need a lock 5.
