Evasion Rate + Magic Res/Def

I have been thinking aboot it for a while and was wondering if it would work. What if you made a full agi brawler with magic res/def to take low damage from magic attacks and had evasion rate and dodge to avoid physical attacks. Anyone know if there are equips that fit this category and if this will actually work?

 

Imperial shield(+S) + charm belt/jinsaw hat(+S) + armor(+S) + 2 passive skill from shield skill tree + Chakra + Gloria + resistance skill from pet + resistance potion + guardian from tank = high def/ resistance.

Using light version armor + 2 passive skill from guard skill tree + reflex + evasion potion = high evasion.

To have both need alot of SP, meaning you may lose some atk too.

 

refining equipd to +S is not easy so +C is a better option

 

Idea is correct but in actual not so effective.
Most of the magic skill attack have cast time thus can be dodge manually, those don't have cast time is always low damage but come with lot of annoying ailment like the x-mas boss. If you have about 8~10K hp, you can survive in 1 HIT magic skill attack but please noted that Melee Build basically is not get kill by Magic Skill Attack, is kill by Magic Skill Combo.

Example when in Vanena Hard Mode, the Meteor attack with Burn Ailment is about 6K-7K per hit to me, my hp about 9.9K with Vita, with Auto Revita it's not a problem for surviving in this hit beside this meteor skill is easy dodge when you not in combo. So I mostly dead when using combo/chatting and stand between 2 meteor. If you really want to have some Magic Resis/Def, go direct for consuming item like Ginkyo(+25% Phy & Magic Resist), Element Protection Charm(+5% Def/MDef and 10% Element Resistant), and Element Gem ( Strong Against Element 10% and Element Resistant 10% ). So your build wont restrict by specific gear.

 

equipment usually gives you one or the other. mixing them is possible but doesn't you use atk boosting gear since all slots will be used for defence and utility.
good if that is your play style, but not so good for attack power.

since you use knuckles, i recommend to go for evasion and have backup magic resist gears to switch when you encounter magical monsters.

Doing this will only take a chunk off on a brawler's already miniscule damage.

Make up you mind if you'll gonna make a regular brawler or a tank. ^_^

 

That brawler would be classified as full agi tank
