Both of them do get applied to mercenaries. As you said it is hard to compare a low aspd vs high aspd merc, I personally do not mind nure mask with only 1.1k aspd, if they ever release an add gear that gives 100% or more accuracy I would use that instead but untill then I do not think the motion speed nega (0.15 sec lost in a 1sec auto animation) can compare to the massive hp boost of nure mask. As long as all the autos of merc are hitting it should not be a problem.

Its high accuracy is really great for fighting lower/older bosses.

does passive skill , safe rest and fighter high affect mercenary ?

 

no.
only atk/matk, def/mdef, aspd and HP stats are used. any other stats and especially passive abilities are ignored.

 

Are unsheathed/pierce%/dmg vs. elements calculated or ignored?

 

do mercs gain the effects of sanctuary if they’re standing on it? since its more like a ground target skill, instead of aura?

 

is the fighter high passive skill from survival skill applied on merc ?

Which 2nd stat is best for a barehanded def merc after full VIT?

 

Probably agi to max motion speed, since barehanded is a flat 50% hit rate

tested on zarth a while ago, for some reason my merc stance better if i wear a wind resistance ring on it than not, and also received lesser damage on him if wear better resistance equip, need to check it again
