While l havent tested out the tags myself yet,
I have seen quite a few videos to get a basic idea of how they work,
But the thing is, they include all classes but mage..
Even the discussions hardly have mention of them -w-;;;; )
And mages who (main-ed finale) depended heavily on smite tag for it..

    My question is,
Is it still worth it being a mage with finale?
Cuz while burst is awesome in its own way, it still need the whole balance of matk, cspd, and those elemental staves/arms for good dmg..
Cuz ..what do mages have really -w-; ) ?
    Storm, Finale, burst..and..what?
Unless you choose dagger route then perhaps gattling but that has its own requirements to fulfil..

Cuz if it aint worth it..l will reset my mage to ktn (or hlb) then..which 'seems' to be least effected of all classes..
(l cant see Finale being used in a long combo to attain that 100% dmg without either the castor dying, or the battle being already over...)

I think my shield mage got buffed, finale +combo starting buffs are so efficient if you're a shield mage.
My starting combo is ad-lib>prayer(save)>bless(swift/invincibility)>gloria(swift)>stone barrier(cons)>impact(cons/swift)>finale(smite) +70% damage while costing lower than 500MP depending on boss
Main combo is healing song>impact(cons)>finale(smite) +30%
    And impact>finale(swift) situational

I think if you're complete of defensive buffs(Priest Skill Tree is waving at you) long combos aren't THAT dangerous. You can long combo once the buffs are there or only long combo for sustainability. I'm still getting ideas of this bloodsucker combo tag but I think it'll be worth for mages because of their high skill damage

I really don't think mage got the least on the last update. Decoy shot with mind's eye tag doesn't require critical rate anymore so now mage has access to decoy shot. Now every single hit from decoy shot can atleast graze even with bosses with high evasion rate/crit resistance.

That sounds great. So mage overall got buff. Mind's Eye is really quite handy for mages especially they don't really invest a lot on crit gears.

I got creative with my own mage, Holy Fist>Element Slash(Mind Eye) can be a good close-up "melee" option for INT>STR mages, as well as inflicting Weaken :)

I am a shield mage, just..
..bored of old/common combos ya know..
For priest tree, havent went into it for quite a while now, but seeing ur combo does show potential there :3
Till last reset, l had the idea for my mage to be not only a damage-provider but also a semi-support (ya know..so l domt have to constantly repeat Imapct>finale, Mp charge, maximizer, repeat)
But the idea of support (atleast for self of no one else) is so..unappreciated..that eventually l didnt bother.
But idea of combining mage with dancer and priest seems..nice..
    I'll look into it -w-)b

I have heard of many using decoy/gsw with their mages, but havent seen any..nor have l tried myself..
But again, if it can help get out of the common mage builds, l am up for it!

I will wait to see if there are any more changes before l do anything myself thou,
    You never know xD
Not even few days, and Aso already talked bout another change x3

Ah, I'm making a LUK farmer in the following way.
    • Annihilator for Knuckles Weapon ATK
    • Conversion for making use of this increase
    • Dancer skills - Spirited Dance to extend MP of PT
    • Chakra to create initial MP for pt and resistance
    • First aid for faster revive
    • Breathworks for self healing at a distance
    • Bloodsucker for healing big
    • Will get Prayer later for MATK.
    • Unsure if Team healing should be included in case of WCOS users. I'd rather fast Revive then and then Chakra + Spirited Dance up.
    • Brave Aura? Maybe. War cry? Maybe not.
    • So I suppose you can do the same for a Staff mage

I kind of used decoy shot with my mage actually. It's great if u don't want to spam ure finalle but its kinda risky for a mage. Also, bloodsucker works great if your using the cursed item, mushies fam... I don't really recommended it and I still have a little to no idea about this new update.
