Finale Nerf + Is Storm better?

As a returning player I'm unsure how bad the nerf was is it better to go straight into storm now?

 

Finale nerf.
Your first hit dmg increased by 1.5x
The problem is,the dmg of following hit is reduced a lot. The last hit is pretty much mob lures

 

Finale still better in terms of damage, imo, the difference is just too big...

 

Finale is still better, even if you push for magic crit build with elemental advantage, much less a normal storm and burst. If you do have magic crit and element advantage tho, you can have decent damage comparable to finale only if, you use magic:wall stacked with magic:storm on a stationary boss, like venena. I still wouldn't recommend it tho since that build doesn't have much test drive and you need curious dress to do that. 3k constant and the huge multiplier of finale is still too big to match

 

question, why do ppl say nerf? why use that instead of something else for lowered dmg points?
