Didn't expect this long time cast and motion.
Is it still worth to learn and strike stab too?

I was thinking what about just pure DT combo, not with punish ray and strike stab.
Plus using 20sp on somewhere else.

    I need an advice.

Pure dt is better in term of efficiency (time to combo compare to damage dealt).
But, having pray and ss widen your option for dps ing (more playstyle to adjust).

Though if you just want gemrun or high diff boss better just full dt imo.

Or ask currently active halberd user in forum like @Ari999

DT is fine but when you face crit resist bosses like our current bosses punish ray is a godsend
The next three skills after punish ray get a crit boost

it would probably be best to just leave ss at level 1 so you don't have to use p.ray. It's crit rate reduction is based on level, so it's only -5% at level 1. It would do less damage, but the damage growth between a level 1 ss and a level 10 is really small.

    Made a math mistake, sorry.
    8.Strike Stab
    Lv 3 Skill; One-Handed Sword/Halberd only
    MP Cost
    : 200
    Damage Type: Physical
Base Skill Multiplier: 1.9 + 0.01 * Skill Level + total STR/500; multiplier for each hit
Ailment Bonus Skill Multiplier: 0.1 * Skill Level
Base Skill Constant: 100; constant for each hit
Hit Count: 3 hits; damage calculation is done once then copied to the other hits
Maximum Cast Range: Defaults to the weapon's Auto Attack Max Range
    Skill Effect:
    - This skil has a base Crit Rate penalty of (5 * Skill Level)%; the penalty is applied as follows:
    Code:
    Strike Stab Crit Rate = (25 + CRT/3.4) * (1 - base Crit Rate penalty/100) * (1 + Crit Rate%/100) + Flat Crit Rate
    - If this skill hits a target with an ailment, the Ailment Bonus Skill Multiplier is added to the Base Skill Multiplier
Game Description: "Thrust an enemy with a quick movement. The damage increases if the target has astatus ailment. Have a low chance to deal critical."
Halberd bonus: Ailment Bonus Skill Multiplier is doubled
    Halberd bonus: Skill Constant +100
One-Handed Sword penalty: Base Crit Rate is halved, changing the penalty formula to:
    Code:
    Strike Stab Crit Rate = (25 + CRT/3.4) * (1 - base Crit Rate penalty/100) * (1 + Crit Rate%/100)/2 + Flat Crit Rate
The multiplier difference between the base hits at lvl1 and lvl10 0.09, but I forgot about the ailment bonus, which is WAY bigger. Sorry mane.

Simple way to know if you need Strike Stab or Punish Ray:
Is my crit rate already high:
Yes> No Punish necessary unless using Strike Stab
No> Yes to punish ray and use CSPD gears
    Is the enemies defense high:
Yes> Strike Stab is useless, Dragon Tooth
No> Dragon Tooth is useless, Punish Ray and Strike Stab

    Final question:
Are bosses defense rising with each update?
Yes. Dragon Tooth is the way to go until a random enemy flies it with like 2 defense

Also something to keep in mind
Dt will bring you to 0M distance to the boss

Something you should really consider because you can either leap heroically to slay the boss or do a suicidal jump

So having a ranged dps skill helps a lot if you want to constantly do damage

Strike stab has a max range of 4M to activate

i opted for Gatling Knife over SS though because of its ranged further plus easier to use/time for me

And its fun to acupuncture a boss to death

Also, gat knife dont need ailment and no crit penalty, depend on gear, we can even use the third buff of pray. This is useful skill. I agree with you.
