Edit: This got answered and no it doesnt work because only half weapon attack is accountable for matk
I was wondering that, theoretically, wouldnt equipping a custom ele, ele% int+ knuckle with MD as sub be better than just MD? Since knuckle can have higher potential so u can customize it with higher stats w higher success rate. Not to mention knuckle has higher weapon atk too.

Ok so I'm a total noob in toram online and I have no idea how to read this guide like the terms and abbreviations are confusing me .... I'm trying to build my very own mage (I have a sword wielding lol 40 character right now but I want to create a good mage) can anybody help me out

If you are looking for material farmer mage, this one is good. If pure dps mage, go look for egg's pewpew arrow mage, for mage for solo or with high survivality look for shield-mage. I dont recomment luk-mage for boss farming because they are WEAK.

As of the moment I am using only +C md which is good enough for me (light, 10%dmg to dark, 10int). And for the armor I am using td dress boss version(huge mp and cast speed)

For others, just don't be confuse, you still need tec refiner to refine up to +B then luk refiner for +A-+S.

Does Dex affect Refinement rate? If so is this perhaps suboptimal? I am wondering because I am really keen on making a refinement mage, but there are mix feedback on whether or not Dex affects the success rate.

No. Its no good for luk-refiner. You can use it in tech cos it increases difficulty but not success rate.

Hello everyone, this is my first time creating a guide so please go easy on me. Thank you. ^^ ORZ

At first, the reason I wanted to make a LUK Character was to have a better chance at refining my equipment to +A +S (which requires a full LUK Character based on my research). However, I felt that it would be kind of wasted if this character could only be used for refining. As we all know, LUK does play a part in drop rate. Therefore, since NC is always in a pretty high demand, making the character do decent damage while farming those Nightmare Roars became my priority. I also want the character to be able to perform somewhat decently in lower level boss runs, making it the perfect character to farm for materials.

Besides that, I always have bad luck in boss runs and xtals and farming materials so I hope this character will help me in that too.

Because this character is full LUK, equipment plays an important part in the amount of magic damage this character does is low compared to 3:2 INT:LUK farming mages or DPS Mages. With the equipment use, I will aim to make sure that you can 1-2hit Nightmare Roars so that farming in a party will also not be much of an issue. As I am not rich in spinas, I will also make sure that the equipment will be as cheap as possible but still providing decent INT+ for decent damage.

Because this is a Full LUK Mage, we need to focus more on INT+ as INT+% gives less benefit.

Magic Device: Any player-crafted MD, Stability > 70%, Potential > 42pt.
For farming Nightmare Roars (NC) & Cassy (Mana Points).
Note: Maximum pot for MD is 42~45, so 42pot Success Rate is 86%, 45pot Success Rate is 90%

I don't really know how to calculate the MATK so if so kind soul can help me with it.. Please <3

I haven't got the chance to test this build at level cap yet but I will update my progress as I go along. This guide might not be as thorough enough and might not have alot of research done but I have try my best to make it as good as possible . I hope my guide will be useful for people looking for a Full LUK Mage that also has decent MATK.

yup still good. if you manage to finish the mq already you can use the new md 'floral light' (npc/mob drop) to farm nc.

its good its the highest atk md as of now. npc/boss drop version is fire element. im using monster drop floral light for the element advantage in nc but if you got a player made wrath of vulcan with light element that would be better.
