Halberd Hybrid

My main class is halberd, and I'm looking for another weapon to make a hybrid with the halberd. I also own dagger skills, which may or may not work with halberd, but are there any other suggestions for weapons to be used with halberd?

 

Halberd + arrow snipe build is pretty good.
Snipe can gain 100% crt with punish ray even without many critical gears and also gain element directly from the arrow equipped.
Halberd can only equip arrow or dagger so cant use skills from trees like shield or martial which is kind of a bummer.

you can use martial and magic skills, since they are "no limit" but don't expect too much.
without a weapon bonus it's just a gap filler.
martial skills give access to interruption effects like Flinch, Tumble and Stun, which are not available from halberd skills.
magic skills have special traits and are quite strong, but halberds have the lowest magic power of all weapons, so it's more for magic defense and status effects.
priest skills have traits of both, magic and martial skills.
lastly, there are support skills which are completely independant of weapons and stats, but may restrict your combat style.

You can use martial and magic skills tho they wont be any good.
The most you could get from magic skills is impact for making self prorating combo and shell break for the 4mp recovery.
Martial skills for flinch/tumble/stun wont be any good as they rate of inflict will be very low without knux sub anyway.
Martial skills for DPS like tkick and heavy smash arent good either as they lose quite a bit of dmg without knux as sub weapon and also tkick will lose the +50crt from knux sub.

Knight, priest, shield skills arent that great either. Knight skills cater towards 1h and pure tank builds while priest skills are more suited for pure int mages. Best you can gain from shield skills are skills protection and aegis a for their great resistance buff but they will cost 3mp without shield.

So right now the only possible hybrids for halberd are halberd + dagger gatling build and halberd + arrow snipe build.

Halberd n element arrow? My friend test it and become null. Does the element have effect?

 

Element on arrow only applies to shot skills the upper branch mainly (bullseye, snipe and arrow rain). What attack did your friend test with?

 

Strike stab maybe, im not sure. So u r saying to use snipe on halberd? It worked?

Ya u can use snipe on halberd + arrow but the animation is so bad

 

Snipe elemental attribute only affected by main weapon, except on bow/bowgun.

Last time i checked staff + arrow snipe had got the ele of the arrow.
Thats the same reason why snipe takes ele of arrow instead of bg for bg + arrow.
I would recheck if i could login.
