Dragon tooth has +75 crit rate, adding 25 base crit it will always critical unless the boss got crit resist. If you want to get some crit for normal atk, just get the crit skills, critical spear +5 crit, crit up +5 crit, fc16 armor gives you 20 crit, meikyo shisui as a combo ender will give you 40 crit, that's 95 crit in total

 

As long as you're not hoarding cmdg with devil circlet, fc armor+meikyo shisui is the way of hb normal atk crits, props to yunan for sharing his opinion

 

Full critical halberd is no use
Rather than critical go for more atk and critical damage
But 100% critical is still first priority

 

100 crt halb is way better than ur meikyu counter part Why u ask its more versatile u can use it for ss or dive impact having only one dps is just stupid and lame

 

Adjust Crit stat that will fit SS. Like 85 chance or so..
It will be more difficult though if you aim ss @ lvl10

Meikyo is way too slow. 100 crit from equips will hinder dmg.
Balanced is the way to go.

 

Focusing more on DT rather than spreading combo spots and skill points on other dps skills is much more efficient imo, as all other skills on average have less dps potential than dt. And the +75 crit will allow us to make use of extra dps stats instead of spending points on crit stats.

With Arm Fc16, not even fc18, plus crit passives, unless you are facing Gwai or other crit resist bosses, dt is bound to land all unevaded hits without even using crit+ additional gears.

Imho utilising meikyo is a solid option, because it allows us to optimise dt damage output while also allowing proration+extra ampr from critical auto attack hits.

I don't think the animation is that slow? Unless the tank loses aggro and boss attack patterns reset and target you or other members I cannot see why would it pose a huge threat, even without a tank I think we still could manage timing, I think

Edit: I just now realized that my arguments have no point, they were all subjective, so my conclusion is there is no concrete better or worse build.

must cast whenever one wants to land SS.
better spam impact DT than that.

 

Yeah ss is pretty much made redundant with dt's physical pierce, but still it's a really strong alternative with added ailments

 

I haven’t unlocked DT as yet but what I have seen from other players builds, SS and DT are hb two main attacks, I do see myself still using SS just for some variation after unlocking DT
