[HELP!] Build optimization tips needed

    Hi everyone! I have a knuckle/dagger build in mind that I need help in optimizing. :)
    I'm new to knucks and after reading through several posts here (and ofc the game guides), I've decided I want to focus more on aspd and ampr. And I'm definitely using daggers! I'm sick of using shields :p

    So anyway, I will be going full AGI then STR. My current equips (which I'm still building on) are:
    Twin Eagles (in the future it will have Pomie and another xtal I've yet to consider)
    Armor fc16 + Ornlarf (this was for a failed 2h but since I already have Twin Eagles, idk if I can switch to something else? I will also get Ifrid in the future)
    Ninja Hat + Yelb (I will upgrade to WW soon)
    Machina Ring + Tapir&Deniala (I got this cheap but I'm looking to replace it when I'm rich :D)
    For daggers, I have Magical Dagger and Lil Empress.

    Aaaand these will be my skills. (Sorry I'm posting this on mobile so it's kinda difficult to type them all out..:() So what do you guys think? Any skills I should ditch instead to make way for other ones? Or do you have other recommended equips (aside from Tonfa and Vulcan shield :p)? I would really really appreciate feedback (unless you're gonna try to convince to me go use a shield :p)

    For your gear:
    - you might have an issue with a lack of MP (even with MP boost). Aim for venena to replace Deniala (and Titeres to replace Tapir).

    For your skills:
    - I have a reliable report that dagger attack skills is not very worth it so I would take out everything used to get amazing throw (but maybe leave throwing knife lvl 10 as its a nice ranged attack costing 0mp).
    - I would max sonic wave to lvl 10 for that 100% tumble (it comes in really handy, often alone in no combo, when trying to break bosses)
    - if you're going for WW xtal, then you could maybe skip out on Chariot for DPS too (as that xtal has -14% long range dmg)
    - max long range skill (shot tree passive) if you keeping Chariot (for extra 10% dmg)
    - Crit UP is also notable to improve your DPS because at lvl 10 it adds an extra +5cdmg
    - maxing the rest of the battle skills would be a good means to further improve atk
    - lastly, i may suggest taking warcry of struggle (hb tree) as a fast means to recover all your mp after battle (i found it really useful in my own shield brawler). With wcos, you can almost play short boss battles more aggressively using quick heavy combos without worrying about conserving mp (impact+rush spam for the win!) :rolleyes:

    Actually there's a new dagger in town with 179 base attack. This might make dagger skills viable again, but that would need to be tested (and I don't have any dagger chars myself)...

    There's also daggers with +200 (with -20% aggro) OR +300 MP stat, so that could help with your MP pool.

    If you are going for Rush/Chariot as main DPS, then odd-shaped knife is probably your best option (cd3 cd3%)... (on a side note, there is also a shield out there with +6 cdmg stat too :rolleyes:)

    I like Spike Dart so I'm not taking out. I wasn't going to get the other passives but I read in another thread that they can actually help with the more recent bosses? I have yet to prove that.

    The -long range in WW shouldn't affect Chariot if i use it up close, right?

    If I give up Deniala and Tapir then it would no longer be an ampr build...and I checked Coryn and by the time I get Ifrid and Imitator(iirc), I'll have around 1.9k mp.

    If I end up not getting the dagger passives, I'll be able to max Sonic Wave and the Battle Skills. I'll have to check wcos first though because it might not fit with the playstyle that I have in mind.

    Yes, I am using Magical Dagger for now for that additional 300mp. I think I'll keep using it since I don't really like Evasion (yet) so no reason to use Venena's dagger.

    Unfortunately it is affected by Long Range modifiers, no matter what range you use the skill.

    Whaaaaat that doesn't make sense to me @-@ but it's not really important as of now. I kinda like Rush more even though I got knucks because of kamehameha :D

    - You already have 125% critical rate from your Twin Eagles, so you can replace your armor with AGI7% CD7% CD17
    - Sonic Wave requires level 10 to have 100% Tumble rate (With Knuckles, it's 50 + 5 * SkillLv)
    - Consider using star gems to replace any Tier 1/Tier 2 skill that are at Lv10. You can save some skill points there and stick them into your battle skills.

    Long range/shot range from stats is dependent on where it’s cast from. Only long range passive skill ignores cast distance and uses max potential cast range instead

    the dagger has no stats unfortunately, it’s just got a base 179 atk. i found that out at like 2am the day the new update came out and was so disappointed :oops:

    That’s fine tho if ur using it for dagger skills but if not then odd shaped knife is probs better

    Thanks for the armor suggestion! And the star gems is definitely the long-term plan. They're too expensive for me right now ;-; and yeah, I already maxed Sonic Wave. Thanks!

    Sooo Chariot won't be affected if done uo close, right? Or less than 8m?

    Exactly, it must be done 7m or less to ignore long range penalty

    It’s safe if equal or below 7m, but I always failed to launch on boss because they run away from my attack range. TBH I would prefer Rush for dps purpose plus chariot come with status ailment, it’s may not work on some boss like out might potum hero...

    Your gathing and amazing throw is level 5 is it because less SP?

    For an easier arm suggestion, how about Mozto arm boss drop. Alongside 5% atk, it has +2k HP already so you only need to add an MP xtal to it (or better, Usami for MP + 3% atk) :rolleyes:
    I don't have WW xtal anymore to test/verify, but I know the Long Range passive in the shot tree boosts skills that "can be used from over 8m", even if they're actually used in short range. So naturally, i would expect the same mechanic on the WW xtal.

    I have only WW, didn’t learn the LRD passive skill.
    From what I notice It’s do reduce when more than 8m
    My chariot is about 210-240K in close range, when more than 7m is become 170-180k. I didn’t record down the video, maybe will make one when free.

    Ok, according to this post, it appears the penalty stat of the xtal depends on the range you casted this skill from. I'm still learning iabout this seems :oops:
    And now i totally regret flogging my WW xtal so freely when i got that lucky drop... :confused:

    I would prefer WW because I like the ASPD and the damage boost, and I start to hate on chariot because of it low accuracy and the delay after skill is a problem for me, although it’s the highest dps skill for martial.
