[ Help]Dagger Punish Ray spammer

Hi! I'm in need of a build that has a self-prorating combos with P. Ray and focuses on critical damage.

Currently, I have the following equips,
Spear 165B A7S7CD7 BK
Dagger
Arm Def9 E S7CD7CD12 MS CERBE
D. Ears Choco Ooze
Muscle III Don Yeti

But I have noticed that I cannot produce much damage with my one long combo. My strike stab to roga only amounts to 14k to 28k and if lucky, 34k to 50k per strike. Tho that is almost 1 out of 20 battles. A mage out dps me with just the storm during the party.

Afaik, to maximize the damage, you have to normal hit for about 6-8 times then use the combo. But my problem is that I am using a DonYeti xtal.Using normal attack would make me be out dps'ed by other classes.

I want to be a combo spammer but I dont know what combo would I make that will self prorate with each other so that I wont have to use the normal attack. Also, can anyone explain to me the nature of proration. I guess it has something to do with stability?

Also, what affects stability in halberd? Combo spammer should have a great stability right?

 

My combo:-
Spike dart + war cry(save) + impact(cons) + javelin(swift) + punish ray(swift) + strike stab(smite) + quick aura(swift)/assault attack(mind's eye)
Though you will need war cry at lvl10 for good ATK boost also spike dart lvl10 for 100% slow and 1k cspd for fast punish ray else your combo will be too slow and but obviously impact lvl7.
If you manage to spam this combo by timing the slow effect precisely then you will inflict slow on every combo and by assault attack(minds eye) the combo will end at strike stab else if timing is too much trouble just go for quick aura swift though be careful of the 10% hp losses.
The combo has 2 physical skills and 3 magic skills so you can win the proration if you manage to hit impact on every combo which is a bit difficult for roga though.

 

Is poison dart counted as magic? If yes, i plan to use this instead of impact. And would the damage be consistent if I am successful with this combo?

 

Nope poison dagger is physical.. only magic tree skills and holy light from priest skills are counted as magic based on proration.

About damage consistence you can try it at metal stinger if roga moves too much.
Compare my combo with this one:-
Spike dart + punish ray(swift) + strike stab(smite) + throw knife(cons)
It costs 3mp but the damage that it will do will be no higher than the combo that i gave which is 1mp.
Only pro about this 3mp combo is that its a lot more faster than the long spammable combo.

 

So how many sp will I devote with javelin to maximize the damage of the combo considering that I use dagger. Or will it be better if I switch to arrow while maintining CD build?

 

Keep it at lvl5 its speed doesnt change by lvling.
And nope arrow isnt good mainly coz the skills are not 100% inflict unlike spike dart which is 100% slow at lvl10 so you will have to use skill like assault which is much slower than spike dart.

 

I didnt catch up with the purpose of assualt attack. What is it again?

 

Its the skill in the knight skill tree.
It has 100% slow inflict at lvl10
Its animation is kinda slower than spike dart but being 1mp it can still be used as a combo opener.
Arrow halberd need this skill to make self prorating combo because shot skills (moeba, para) are not 100% inflict status without bow.
If used as a closer it can be tagged as mind's eye to make your long combo shorter by 1 skill.

 

So all in all, it is good to spam this combo? Does it come along with another combo?

Yes u can spam but remember if theres a physical skill spammer in the party they will ruin your proration either way so its better to just use shorter combos or a faster combo at that time while when you are with mages better to use my combo.

Flash stab + war cry(save) + throw knife(lvl10)(swift) + spike dart(swift) + punish ray(swift) + strike stab(smite) + impact(cons) [long fast 1mp]
This combo quickly followed by
Poison dagger + punish ray(swift) + strike stab(smite) + impact(cons) [short combo 3mp if poison dagger used immediately after impact ender]

 

What is the best combo for soloing?

 

Also, if I am a combo spammer, should I still use ms and cerbe or should I shift to ms and jade or cerbe and jade? If yes, which is more recommended, ms or cerbe?

 

My original self prorating combo best for soloing or 1v1 farming mini bosses but it depends on the boss itself if the boss interrupts too much its better to use short combo.
Jade + ms better for spamming coz always large mp pool = more combo spams.
And ms is better than cerberus dps wise but has negative resistance so you will have to be careful of magic attacks as they will do more dmg.

 

Umm is the cannon spear skill dmg good or not.

 

How many critical rate increased using punish ray? I also want to use 100% critical damage for strike stap. But i dont know the exactly effect of punish ray.

 

Nope dragon tail higher dmg and cooler too.

People usually just max (lvl10) punish ray for getting 100% critical on halberd but what i think its also 100% critical at lvl8 dont go for my word and try it yourself.

 

Ive tried lvl8 and lvl9 its still not sure. Probably when ypu have critical spear you can do lvl8-9
