[Help] Sword Breaker/Brawler

I need help on my build as a sword brawler. Should a dual wield be a breaker? Or a single handed with a shield? And what are the stats needed? Pls give other tips should I need to know.

 

Hi there, Dual Swords "can" take breaker ranks on boss runs because they attack fast and because of DS+Blade skills that gives status ailment on enemies. (e.g spinning slash causes blind, hard hit cause flinch, etc) and yes it can be a breaker. As on 1hand shield, it can be a breaker too but most likely you will end up as a tank.

As for the stats and other explanations, wait for the reply of the professional ones I can only explain little things cause I lack information haha, hope I helped ya ^^

If u wish to secure breaker rank during boss runs, from my experience, the easiest way to do so is to deal the most auto attacks to the boss. Which dual swords are pretty good at. Haven't tried tho.

 

High ASPD and AMPR can be helpful because you can use your skills more often, which means you can flinch/tumble/stun your targets more.
As far as equipment goes, you should use a shield so you can use shield bash and shield cannon.

 

Depends on what you mean by breaker. If you are aiming for breaker rank, the above mentioned will get the job done. If you are aiming at a true breaker in terms of boss control, sword + knuckle is best.

Hard hit > Rage sword (save) > Sonic wave (Consec) > Shell break (Consec) > Spiral sir (Consec) > Bash (swift / Mind's eye)

This combo will keep the target reasonably locked and spammable at 100mp. Shell break should remove the guard effect from the flinching / tumbling, where otherwise, Bash will stun it.
