Hi i just started and need guidance.

    Hi,

    the game doesn't really explained everything and had to seek guidance here. can someone care to explain just the basic things?

    like the stats STR, AGI, DEX.etc.? how will affect my character.

    how to synthesize (i dont get this synthesizing thing, i synthesized my hard bow as a main and a bow as a sub then i got a bow as a result ~_~;)

    also material points. heeeelppp~~~

    stats effect your char depending on what type of char u're building. since you posted in the hunter thread, i'd assume u're building a bow or bow gun char. which your main stat is dex and 2nd stat for bow is str but idk for bow guns. most swordies use STR as main stat i think, n knux use AGI, mages generally use INT. you can read more about stat stuff here - http://toramonline.com/index.php?threads/complete-class-weapon-guide.20200/

    mat points are used for a variety of things like building things in your house, statting equipments (u need a full tec char for it), creating equip (u need the correct BS for it, or you do it at NPC)

    Material Points are used for Production Class skills Alchemy and Blacksmith also some are required to make equipment or potions at NPCs plus crafting stuff for your house after you buy land, Synthesizing is used to craft potions, add dyes to gear or change the appearance of gear but you can't actually change a bow into a sword or other things like that which from you description you seem to have been confused about, STR increases physical damage and is a good stat to use on 2H, Halberd or Sword characters, Agi increases ASPD and Evasion rate it's usually used on Dual Wield, 1H Sword, or Brawler classes, Int increases MAtk it's best used on Mages, LUK increases item drop rate, CRT increases Critical Rate, MTL increases resistance to ailments, Tec increases production success rate, Dex increases accuracy and CSPD it is generally used for Bow, Dual Wield, Mage or 1H Sword users, Vit increases your HP and is mostly used by Tanks ^.^
