How about AOE skill, it worth to learn?

I found it fun at Lavarca but beyond that I never really used it.

 

Aoes are as the acronym suggests "multiple target" skills so obviously they wont have dps as high as strike stab a single target 3rd tier skill if a single enemy/boss is considered. Dive impact both hits together are only a little bit higher than the dmg dealt by 1 strike stab hit.
That doesnt mean they are useless though, they are very useful in taking out the extra mobs that appear in boss battles which is good if you wanna record solo videos.

 

it's also very helpful for bossess who summon minions, like Ganglef, Jade Raptor, Aranea and the like.

 

Thats exactly what i said.
Dragon tail against jade eggs especially since it would tumble them but not jade itself saving you from the fractional attack.

 

Aoes are good if ur AOE can kill the minions in a reasonable time if not you'll just get swamped and the tank won't be able to help you

 

to me it sounded like "only for recording solo videos"

Well for me AoE on halberd are good, expecially when you doing guild maze or dungeon, since canon spear and dragon tail have a great AoE if you lined them up, and dive are used for make a great appereance when dragon tail proc the thumble. It may be not as high damage as strike stab, but at least you got the abilities to take down multiple monster. I used my AoE halberd only on maze and dungeo though, since its really helpfull if you trigered the aggro trap, and the horde

 

How much targets that can be affected by halberd's AOE skill ?

 

Canon spear could hit on 1 line of monster, if you hit the front one, it will pierce through the nearest mosnter, but mostly hit the enemies on the back, as for dragon tail is AoE in circle and for dive it has a time to pop the explosion after landing, if you want to see the example, try watch @RPG_Neko video about Halberd motion and skill.
