How i can lvl up my smith prof fast ?

Are you both the same type of blacksmiths? If so, he may be wearing Dex equipment, this boosts your ability to create higher level items than your actual proficiency.

 

He has 83 INT and 42 DEX, I have 203 INT.
At the moment I craft Adventurer Garb and get just 1% or it failed. can you tell me why?

 

Your friend has Dex stats which contributes to why he can craft higher level items than his proficiency. At the current level cap, I don't suggest going this route because all the int/Dex equips he will craft will have lower potential points (and therefore lower chance of ideal stats being put into his equips). It's best to focus on a single stat per blacksmith until you cap.

You will have to make a higher level item. Get Dex+10 armor & weapon w/ Dex+2 xtals. Every 8 Dex points is 1 additional difficulty level. Army knife, Dex2 tali w/ Dex+2 xtal & a chignon cap w/ Dex+2 xtal will increase your difficulty by about 6-8 levels (I'm still using old Dex+8 equips). Once you equip this gear you'll be able to make items that you don't have the "proficiency" for. It'll help you move up to different items quicker also.

 

Question: How long does it usually take before you will be able to craft a killer coat on your own? Minding that you are level 100 already and all you need is to raise the proficiency. Any estimated time?

 

Depends on whether you have a reset book to raise prof or are doing it the old fashion way. Collecting all the various materials takes time. Regardless of your level it's the material collection that will hinder your proficiency.

 

Koko Chan, I have this plan in mind and let me know if this would work.

Create a Crafter (Blacksmith) Pure Dex to increase the proficiency faster and then once proficiency is large enough to create a killer coat then I can simply reset the stats to VIT. Is this true or no?

 

Tec is better because not only does it increase difficulty but raises success rate & slightly increases slot chance (in the beginning it doesn't matter but the excess points at cap lend you this ability). Dex gives an extra difficulty point per 8 stat points, whereas tec raises difficulty exponentially. Dex items being worn will give you an extra boost tho so do wear those. If you're gonna go Dex/Int/Str/Vit, just go that route. If you're gonna use a reset shortcut, use tec.

and i will wear all dex equipment too.

so can u tell me how to lvl up prof fast until i can make anniv bowgun III ?

 

since u be going dex u can just make the best gear avail to u most items arent even expensive till the recent ones

 

Like @NUT2Fast said, since you'd be pure Dex, your difficulty will be much higher. If you're capped you would already have enough difficulty to make all Dex equips available. If you wear Dex equips, use Dex+10 & Dex 7% equips for a boost.

Craft 10-15 level items from your proficiency so you get the most xp possible
If u are a dex smith, you can make higher items but the exp% per craft doesnt go beyond 27-30% per craft
So just make some jamadhars + rockstaff simultaneously till u get around prof 20-25 then from there u can go hard knuckles so that u conserve as much spina as possible

i made 75 profeciency in 2 days
but yeah, Blacksmith isnt my main character; i've unlock some emblem first

so.. as the calculation of stat poin, if u got all the emblem unlocked;
u can put 20 point on tech first; then the rest on ur main stat

try making kind of shortsword; until u get no profeciency point; then far, ruined rat in debaucky to make greatsword and knuckle, i forget the name.. until 20 i think, go to saham underground, farm rota nemico for saham crystal and farm giant orc for dented iron plate; try making metal wing; make that until 50 or until u can make rapier, then go to empress tomb and the sand area before the tomb, farm bone newt and sandfrog for dragon bone and fine sand, make the rapier until u can reach 65; after that, go to empress, grind that boss and made empress soul and empress bow, i prefer empress soul, because the mats more commonly drop and take less cost, but if u can make both, just made it then..
u will get pt 75 quickly, and farm that gold medal, and *clang clang clang*

more tips
try to make fighter chignon cape; and equip slotted weapon and arm, mod the weapon and arm with dex+10; also wear dexterity amulet II; fill all the slot with dex+2 xtal
without training profeciency; u get 16 profeciency instant;

why tech 20 ? if i were to put 20 on tech, then i wont be able to put 250 on dex.
is there any specific reason ? will putting 16 points on tech suffice ? that way i can put 250 on dex.

Well haha, in my cap character, i got 255 main stat and 15 substat
So, i put 250 on my main BS stat, and rest to tech, since i will lvl it up to 100 too, so i put tech status immediatly, to help increase profeciency faster

My method isnt mandatory method though, u can mixed, it up to ur plan and calculation

if you are planning to make very strong 1hand swords + bows + bowguns (aka max POTential)
you have to put 250 into DEX stat and the rest into STR stat....
the POT for 1h, Mag Dev, Bows are taken half and half attributes

so say base POT sword of sin = 23
with Careful Creation skill its +10% of base so it becomes = 23 x 1.1 = 25.3 or just plain POT 25

for 2h its STR / 10 = bonus POT
for bowguns its DEX / 10 = bonus POT
for Staves its INT / 10 = bonus POT
for 1h its (DEX+STR) / 20 = bonus POT
for Mag Dev its (AGI+INT) / 20 = bonus POT
for bows its also (DEX+STR) / 20 = bonus POT

example : 250 DEX char with 10 STR with Careful Creation Lv 10 crafting a sword of sin = (23 x 1.1) + 13 bonus POT = 38.3 or simply 38 POT
