Lol rng do suck, i love it that somone is trying to build a pet like mine. It took me 3 agonizing fusions to correct the stats after installing my level 10 magic lance. I developed an ocd on picking any potential future fusion fodder. The trick is facing the facts that rng will always screw you up. And the fact that only one out of 3 is needed to be locked up to keep the pedegree pure. I have tried browsing all day in cb just to hunt some potential fodders(only one success anyway in case you gonna ask). I also tried hunting pets by myself and almost all of them become gifts to my guildies since they did not pass my standards(they all failed by the way).

Pet system is a big time sink. That is a bit of an understatement, it is more like an abbys of pain that is ever so inviting(im no maso mind you! Im just love the grind!)

Well what i can do is using pet with either magic device or staff and set magic attack and random nature. Seems good tech for increase potential of pet

Same as all of us. The pedigree i have is the ff:
    Weapon: knucks,staves,md
    Type:magic attack, magic defence, jeanyus!
    Nature: sturdy(def), steady(dodge), justice(ampr)
Legacy skill: magic lance level 10(inherited)
Fodder skill: hp absorb level 5- up(inherited)
1st learned skill: rage attack(the last 2 is rng)

Most fodder pets i look for is the first 3 parameters. Having the fodder skill is the final filter need to be passed. Also the main focus is the actual level of the fodder pet, new maps always pops up. New mobs always have higher level. Never choose a fodder pet that is close or even lower than your main pet. Always aim higher!

After fusion, i keep feeding 3k feed until i get the 50% dicipline bonus. I sink in all 3 skill and all the int stat (hard dicipline) i can shove in the pet.(i use hp potions i save to dope the pet's vitality back and finish the dicipline process)

When leveling up my pet i monitor every level up and shove as much int stat to the pet as possible before the stat reach the 255 mark. After that vit stat will take on the rest of stat points gained as it level up.

Hope that can help you develop your pet. Due to testing process i am grinding 3 170-ish tanks along with my newly fused dps pet.

Mind to share which boss you farming for pet lvling ? I always go for masked warrior until Level 70 then go to scrada until LvL 90 but that stupid golem is difficult to break solo..i have no idea how to make my pet lvl to at least 120 so the pet cap stuck between 80-90.

Depends on the survivabiity of your pet tbh... if its a tank pet then pretty much any boss, within 10/20 level range.

For glassy pets all focussing on an atk stat only, then i suggest:
    Mino (32/42/52/72) -> Scrader (85) -> Lapin (124) -> Building Golem (138) -> Wandering Wheel (163)
I find that a knux/fu char is good for leveling glassy pets because you can interrupt bosses to help keep your pet alive, as well as fb them.

Also, for a 'capable/finished' DPS pet, i would use it to level my luk mage... everywhere :D

I pretty much stay at masked warrior myself until the pet is on level 80-90 and planning to transfer to lapin as the next step(coz it is a tad softer than nm potum!) Other than that, im a bit clueless myself since most of my past pets is grinded in lower levels. Altho i find that ems,bg, and odelons are easy target to grind based on my experience but that is yet to be tested myself if my doggo pack can grind there..

Always using brawler to train pets, normally I using combo like Smash>SBreak>Bash>SWave>Impact>Rush>anything ended, is a 1MP combo for fast run purpose, I just hate the stupid Scrader because of difficult to break the parts....from coryn Jade always have the Best EXP but I prefer go for other nightmare boss.

Maybe when we meet there can make a party for pet...I still got another 2 new pet to leveling until LVL 90 at there....reallly tired.

EMS hits super hard, so i probably wouldn't solo pet grind there
Odelon maybe, in fact most minibosses should be fine with a knux/fu char using constant interrupt combos (with atk mercs doing more/most of the damage, and prorating for your too)
I personally am targeting WW for the final grind because i have a capped CF char that can happily one-shot this miniboss

Hmm, i would take out bash completely and swap in another filler skill like Holy Fist (stargem) because Bash is horrifically slow. Use Bash on its own at the start to break the small hand first before you start repeating the above combo

I had fun times with ems in the past. That guy get stuck in weird places usually make my finale partymate crap his pants(specially when i have kick as the combo ender) of course it is all due to magic lance able to cover any aggro from sneak and other buffs. Most of the time is spent in casting pet mp charge for dps and heal(hp absorb! Vampire pet ftw!) I just hope my other pets specially the fresh ones can handle it tho.

Lol back when i used to solo it (alongside a glassy pet), i felt like EMS had an unusually high evasion rate. And one miss of flinch/tumble resulted in me taking a massive hit, or lying on the floor already.
With a vampiric DPS pet though, you're right. It was ez staying at range, stuffing the pet with MP and then let the pet handle EMS itself :D

Just a little update: my pets (yes, the doggo tanks+ 1 magic maid and my vampire pet) tanks well at ems. Almost too well perhaps, since mostly it dishes out magic and physical attacks even my merc crew can take it well with only bless as heals. All of them are in the lvl 100-ish stage(30 lvl gap bracket) since i also need metal mats points, guess i be stuck there for a month or so before moving on to bg when my pets hits 120-ish range. All this is done solo with varying change of characters if i get bored out of my brains grining, to change the pace.

FYI, check this guy's pet out. The stats are super impressive to see (2 stats capped, with one going over 600)... and its not even maxed yet!:eek::eek:

Yup! That is perro's power for ya. When used as a fodder. I am also planning the same pet tho. I plan to have "cover" as my legacy skill for my pet so i can also make use of that massive hp as a sponge barrier too. Im just a bit stumped to grind 4 doggies at once tho. Im trying out other grind areas for my pets to level faster. Hope i can post a good screenie soon.

Yep, and here i am still trying to make a dps pet (current cap 75, but jumping up by 25 per fusion). The problem i have is that my next 2 fodder's can't be easily leveled, because they are not tank types, and there's limited places i can safely (and efficiently) level them up.

as you can see 255 is not the limit for one stats ,
now these pro-pet-analyst know the difference between pet potential+max level limit over high potential. o_O

Haha yes. I knew the theory before, but its still nice to see the numbers in a real screenshot. Can't wait til my newest one gets into the 125+ level cap range! :D
