Hunter Skills

Does anyone else use Hunter Skills?
I feel like I'm one of the only people that focused the Hunter tree I never see anyone using the traps or sunrise arrow .-.
You can clear mobs easily with Sleep trap+Sunrise arrow+quick draw with a good amount of AMPR will give you infinite mp if done correctly and does a good amount of dmg (sunrise arrow 2x dmg to sleeping enemies). or you can control boss fights in a way.. Example: Mozt Machina is about to die and you only broke 2 parts.. sleep trap to put boss to sleep and let him heal some hp so u can break.
Let me know how you use them if you do

 

Toram is so focused on dps dps dps that utility and usefulness of skills is thrown away. Sunrise does less damage than arrow rain and snipe and is therefore useless. Trap skills kind of suck though, since they can be destroyed by aoe.

 

well it seems like you havent seen someone who can trap correctly

 

That's because nobody takes the time to use them because skill points are very limited right now, and getting more mp, hp, or atk is usually Prioritized. But if they suit the way you like to play, enjoy em

 

Then how would you know that they're not as good if no one took the time..

 

Because the damaging ones do very little damage, they require placement in the correct areas, then you have to pray that they don't get aoe'd and you wasted mp, then you have to pray that bosses will walk on them, all of this rng for a sleep or a bit of damage or an ignite is too much of a risk for what you could have gotten instead.

 

thats the thing you're thinking about it with w.e build you use. My mp never hits 0 on my hunter

 

and you dont have to pray for anything if you know how to kite .-. and place trap according to the attack patterns

 

Well I mean instead of getting sleep trap 10 I can get sober analysis 10 which, granted, sucks as well, but it reliably restores mp without me having to worry about placement, movement, or any kind of RNG. It just exists as a nice buff to restore my mp, I'd rather invest my skill points into something that is always useful rather than something that has a chance of failure

 

Well you said earlier in shoutbox that you don't need a party so I am assuming you do boss runs solo, if this is the case, then yeah you will always have aggro and youll be able to kite to your heart's content

 

You can also get that wit hunter but ok xD I hope that works for you mate. Its hilarious how this post here is for people who also use the hunter class you came here just trying to say how bad you think it is. why dont you make a post about your own thing if you dont like hunter

You did ask why nobody uses the skills And I answered, it is because I think they suck. It is only my opinion, nothing more.

And I have three build threads posted with a lovely amount of positive feedback. Anyway, I mentioned in every one of my posts that if you enjoy playing with those skills, then more power to you. I am glad you found them to be to your liking.

 

Well if you have a hunter build guide delete it because I dont think you've understood how to use the skills to their full potential

Just make your own guide on it already. Christ. Also, his guides aren't Hunter guides. It's an extremely generic Sniper build, a fairly generic Paladin build, and an interesting Shield Sniper build that borrows off of his extremely generic paladin and sniper builds. So be the first to make an actual Hunter guide and don't insult the guy because he doesn't find them useful. Prove that their useful through you own guide. You might actually inspire people to use them, since people are extremely wary of them right now since the most effective way to play right now is extremely direct rather than rewarding round about methods.

Anyway TLR, make a guide and maybe a video. Geebus.

 

If his guides arent hunter guides then he shouldnt have such a strong opinion on the class.
everyone and their mom uses the same snipe build.
Im new to these forum but a Vet to Toram I will my my own hunter guide just wait on it

 

I suggest you check out his guide first, check the date history, consider that he may have started the trend, and then talk mad mess, before actually talking mad mess. Especially when most people found the Hunter tree subpar when using it at first. So shoo. Go make your guide and fill the boards with rage post elsewhere.

 

i really feel that your passionate about the hunter skills and i like that i just dont like that you sounded offended when someone offered their simple opinion anyway id like to learn more about hunter skills maybe it will be more interesting than the generic dps skill builds.
im pretty sure its more fun than prorating then spamming combos then prorating again since you might not succeed everytime you lay a trap. so with that ill be waiting for your guide kudos! (and chill mate)
