I'd like to ask you about Katana for some advices.

Hello. I am very confused about everything in Toram Online (except for Main Quests and blacksmith stuff lol) and a newbie too. I use Katana for main character and my main character is 27 level.

I mainly use DEX > STR build for fun. My DEX is 52 and my STR is 15. I may make a mistake with buying blade skill tree by accident and alright, I maxed Issen and Bishido skills.

My equipments are leather armor, neck googles, sub daggers, and main weapon..katana atubo? I don't remember its name, sorry. Yeah, I am barely rich and experienced. Never mind that, I admit I enjoy it as much as Aurcus online freely.

But I'd like to know your suggestions and advice directly about katana from you.

So, do I need to put more skill points in Mononofu skill before buying new skill tree? Do I need better equipment in the future later?

Hopefully, I'd be able to reach higher levels and find fun in Toram Online.

 

Buying blade skill is still good because you will need warcry(10% damage) for combos. I personally prefer DEX over STR because it raises accuracy rather than STR(although STR raises crit damage). But you'll get more overall damage using DEX as STR misses and grazes more often. as for Katana skills MAXING ISSEN IS A MISTAKE. you should invest in lvl 70 skills such as HASSO HAPPA(has lower dmg due to recent update) or ZANTEI SETTETSU.

 

Actually buying blade skill was a mistake, u lose 1sp on hard hit totally useless for katana

Yup maxing issen was a mistake, pulse blade is superior or better yet use reflex star gem

Yup with lv4 katana skills here, dex gives more stable dmg while str gives high risk high reward. Veterans would recommend newbs not to mix stats until u know what you're doing. Max 1 stat first, if main hasso use str others use dex or str

Soo in conclusion, delete your character once u get your first free character slot. This saves u from cancer (literally) in later levels, plus you're super low level anyway it takes like 20mins to reach it?

 

As for Level 150 skills. I only prefer KAIRIKI RANSHIN mainly because it gives extra damage, critial rate and AMPR(attack mp recovery). GARYOU TENSEI in my opinion is useless because you have to charge it by using other katana skills to deal good damage. as for TENRYU RANSEI I dont use it because as of now it is not considered as UNSHEATHE SKILL with ZANZTEI. All my equipments are critical rate and damage with UNSHEATHE(ODELON CRYSTAL) which you should invest in. If you cant afford it yet, try invensting in CRITICAL RATE equipments first and focus later on damage. I use ZANTEI SETTETSU as my main DPS which deals 500-600k damage at LEVEL 113 equipped with ODELON CRYSTALS(10% unsheathe damage).

Zantei with tenryuu buff (Tenryuu ransei: Zannou) is considered unsheathe tho

 

Kaikiri only gives Crit to Garyou and not other skill
Garyou is OP ^^

 

Tenryu is unsheathe.
Only garyou and pommel not unsheathe.
Tenryu pretty useful for unsheathe builds.
