Impact or rage sword better for 2h?

the effect is same, but the activation requirement is different, thus the purpose of those skills are different.
While need higher cost of skill points, Impact is universal and doesnt need any requirement to activate the "Half the next skill MP" buff.
In the other hand rage sword need less SP but is limited to 1h and 2h, and to activate the "half the next skill MP" buff you need to hold the aggro, which make it more beneficial for aggro holder (and it is mostly tanker) and better for complementing impact rather than become the subtitute.

So the half mp cost will not activate if I do not have aggro?

 

I might giving misleading info. It seems that rage sword will activate the halfed MP buff whether you cast it to monster that aggro-ing you or not. But even if that so my point of rage sword isnt suitable for impact subtitute still valid, since mostly the dps in game are physical user, thus if you gonna use rage sword often it might fluctuate the proration.

BUT, i can't really say which of it is right about rage sword, since the words have multiple interpretation (by having in the same paragraph as the need to be aggro holder sentence) and i'm just talking this using the common point of view because i'm never used the skill in a while.

 

With rage sword if it's evaded you won't get the halving buff.

One way to utilize both rage sword and impact is to use a double smite combo, something like :
Rage sword>sword tempest(smite) >impact (consecutive) >Meteor breaker(smite) >closer
It would cost you only 700mp for 2 smited skills instead of 500mp for a single impact +Meteor combo

 

Dont use rage sword if u dont have a good tank on your party or aggro will be on you
Impact is better for safety play
