Increasing CRITICAL DAMAGE (Test: STR vs. CRT)

How to increase Critical Damage?

Hello. This is a test I did in February, and ended up very satisfied after getting the results.
A few days ago I read that some members of the forum were unsure about this, so I decided to record it.

Critical Damage is the damage dealt by critical hits (yellow numbers).
On this video I clarify which stat increases it! Read my text inside the video for the details on how CRT & STR work.

Finally the myth that CRT adds damage has been busted.
STR is the stat which adds Critical Damage FOR ALL WEAPONS.
It also adds Stability for 1H, Dual Swords, Bow, Bowgun and Staff (although, Staff has a cap of Stability 90%).

STR is a stat which benefits overall damage, even if it adds no ATK with your weapon. Now that you know it, enjoy it!

my experience was w my CRT40 brawler (rest is AGI). my damage was exactly just like the video. 4-10ish while using drill.
now i need to re look back what was my equip...

NB : i suspect the short range damage stat that multiply alongside cdamage. if its true then my assimption is shortrange damage is being multiplied alongside cdamage.

 

Does accuracy(Dex) increase critical dmg?

Nope. Accuracy is gained by the Hit Rate stat which DEX increases. The higher your Hit Rate the less your attacks are dodged. Dodge is gained by the Flee stat, some monsters have high Flee so you'll see the text "Miss" occasionally when attacking them. High accuracy beats dodge, but not evasion. Accuracy is not damage related, it only makes you miss less hits. However, critical hits are never dodged so if you have Critical Rate you don't need Accuracy to land your hits. Critical Rate is better vs Flee because you don't need a high stat to secure your hits, simply if the hit crits the hit lands, except if its evaded. Beat evasion with magic, magic can't be evaded, only guarded.
