How do they come in comparison when I'm considering pet matk and overall effectiveness in combat? I know both dodge most boss patterns and that justice has twice the natural ampr, but intelligent offers 30% more matk. What are your opinions?

depends on the pet's stats and skills.
high damage dealing skills like arrow, blast or lance are more effective with intelligent nature.
status attacks like flash or shield break, as well as healing skills benefit from justice nature, so they can be used more often.
the reverse is also good, in the end it depends on your preferences.

Better grab a mochelo or any other pet that have a very high attack pattern that is compatible with magic lance. If you ever come across with one that have high compatability(red letter with arrow up) it may be a better candidate(best try it out first tho)

I was thinking of moxiz it had a 400% pattern and ~250% magic auto option, I don't think I'll get a mochelo though
Mitta tret is also a decent option, it had a 533% pattern, with a 400% magic auto option as well, might end up choosing Mitta tret

Ouhh, okay, I better hope that mitta's strongest pattern will give me a red arrow

FYI Mitta Tret has a big fat blue down arrow if you try to assign magic lance to the 533% animation

I was intending to post and share confirmed screenshots, but then the reset week trumped every other game-related intention i had lols

Too good to be true, thus the big back lashed on the attack pattern. The very least it is not greyed out (un-usable). The highest of high and to fastest of lows cannot be in one single package it seems.

Yep, but MT is a very viable (water) upgrade to Glowray, though i haven't checked its 533% animation.

I really like how Glowray's big move is a charging animation (as I see it as a great additional evasion mechanic)

Most of big moves are similar dash like attack in some pets. Like stone's lance dash and retainer doll's whirling broom dash. Not only that they are cute, it is quite functional too since your pet mostly dodge aoe while attacking. Just dont use it on places where it may fall off tho.

Rng? Other than that a bit more range. Staves for pets are close range weapon i think.

Yeah, it turns out the biggest magic multiplier is 400%, anything above that links to physical skills atm.

Wait, is that true? Then what is benefit of having a staff pet with magic auto attack versus any other weapon pet with magic auto attack?

None. Md, staves and knucks(yup! This too) all got same damage. This is why magic based pets are easy to build.(magic lance hot good perks). Compared to phy based builds it may have meh damage. But i prefer a consistent meh damage than an OP damage that misses.
Weapon range only affect physical auto attacks. Magic auto attacks of pets are always ranged.

Don't staves give a higher MATTK boost than magic devices? And don't magic devices have a larger range than staves?

And I remember being told months ago in a thread that MD and staves would have a faster auto magic attack than knuckles even though it made no sense to me since it's determined by attack animation.

Ever aince the start it is always the same and not much diffrence amongst magic on pets. Bg on the otherhand paired with accurate type and a nature that boost crit(forgot the name sorry, pls check the chart) is the highest ever pet build, and more rare than mewtwo.

That's what I figured. So there really is no difference between the magic auto attack on the same pet with different weapons? The only difference is growth in stat points?

Yah, but if you are looking for damage, magic normal attack always use matk and phy normal attack always use atk stat. The only blurry line in pet build is the 2 aggro attack of pets(rage attack generate aggro, the skill on top of first aid is aggroless both 1mp worth) which uses the dominant of the two(if atk value is bigger, it is used by the skill)

The importance of a normal magic attack is not the damage. It is the fact that magic never misses and only evaded. It create a consistent pet ampr(yup, pet haz it too) and you can basically let it roam hands free if it can even heal itself(GOD! I MISS THAT TANKING/HEALING MAID ROBOT)

    Sorry to hijack this thread.
Just want to ask, if my pet has bowgun weapon, will the rage blow also attack from a distance? Or will my pet move closer then use the skill?
