Is HB even useful anymore

Zahhak Machina Ultimate... It might not be accessible right now, but it's a real nice example... assuming the magic defensive stats are identical to the physical ones, that would be a whopping 30% Magic Resist and 6000 MDEF...! Doubt Mages would be able to break 6000 MATK at Lv. 167, and that MATK being reduced by 3 points (due to lvl difference) then 30%, result being the Base Magic DMG... Step 1 of Final Damage Calculation would reduce that Base DMG to 0, meaning it's all Finale Skill Constant being multiplied from there XD (@mayam please correct me if I got my maths wrong)

Halberds are the complete opposite... It's all about equipment.

Reminds me of something else... Katanas. Garyou Tensei might be very hard (putting it mildly) to master, but if one DOES master its usage... Completely ignores Defense and has an insanely high Skill Multiplier (not as insane as Cross Fire though) and Skill Constant to boost its power even further. And it's also affected by Whack and Short Range DMG Stats. Halberds are MUCH, MUCH, MUCH simpler, but it's common knowledge that it requires tons of equipment only players with lots of hours and/or millions of Spina/Yen/Dollars to burn could get...

 

I understand that
But when it comes to basic farming on events or other things its near impossible to even find a party

I'm forced to use a different character now
Takes time to raise a new character
And i don't think its often people will ask or want to farm PG or Zahhak on ultimate
For me the practicality matters and its disappointing that people treat HB as trash or a pest

I've done good damage so its better, but that doesn't really solve much of the other problems in a HB users daily lol

Is HB good for anything other than bosses like Zahhak and PG on Ultimate mode

 

you cant stick to one class at late game. having multiple classes for different occasions is a must. I also started as halberd only but was forced to make different classes for different scenarios as one class for everything just wont cut it.

nightmare and ultimate runs are a halberd domain, thats what i use mine for as i built it with 400+ hit. its been on the shelf for some time now but thats still where i dropped almost all my resources.

Gonna say it is if you want to keep playing or get invited always... It's not like you're limited to one character only, that's what the Character Slots are for...

If you've seen MOBAs, where extremely high tiers are akin to an MMO's late game content...

And really gonna say it's gonna take some daring on the creator's side to release an MMORPG that only allows for one character, and one character alone, for each account... if someone would make something like that. Or maybe there's one already and I just haven't heard of it...?

This is my first one so I never knew it was that important to have multiple classes on hand
But I thought at least there'd be more uses for classes and not just a specific niche

 

It is really common in mmorpg. Take world of warcraft (wrath of the lich king) as the example. There are 4 healer classes (shaman, druid, holy and disco priest), they have their own role at healing so each of them is needed on a raid.

The same can be said at dps. Basically, there are burst and constant dps(dmg dealer). Cf, garyou, and tenryou can be said as burst due to the need to prepare the requirement compared to other classes. The rest of dps es(even finale) are constant bcs they can just click one combo all the time.

From my observation, toram beginning to grow the challenge in facing the bosses as seen in gespent2, p avatar, empress event and zahhak (and many more). You need some kind of strategy to do it well (or just mash combo with unlimited orb items... Your choice).
Gespent has their own phase to shift dps between magic and physical.
P avatar when use tenryou phase need to be interrupt to change her combo or avoid his magadachi/garyou with 60k hit.
Empress event is a bit simpler, but yeah quite fun for me to do.
Zahhak need to be stunned or poison to reduce his def.
Even yelb has its own strategy.

Different boss need diff dps type to do it. Dt main power is phys pierce and easy to use. Make use of that.
*though i believe finale is too op*
And toram, i believe still in early to mid stage (compared to iruna).

And there are still no 'instance' where you need to fight more than one boss once you get in (not all at once, but one by one).
Well the instance thing is just my hope lol.

 

I will give u the reason of why i dont invite to party halberds.

skill>skill> dragon tooth ---> stop spamming it and i invite em again

 

1st weapon of choice halb! Played all the way till now! Ppl dont want halb in pt anymore ..like its the 2nd last choice (dw still last) but ya i fought pg n when the pg red only i can deal dmg ...in gem run i get atker... in normal/spammin run qwq rip... dont wanna del halb qwq cant play halb qwq pwp qwq pwp qwq

Also, I was playing with a halberd yesterday and they destroyed physical proration. I dont really mind, so I just prorated xd the york runs were still pretty fast

its not the class that ruins proration, its the user.

I'd expect ths and katana to be more bad for proration

use mage on a full party of halberds using Dragon tooth u will see how funny ^~^ The damage drop down to 50k .-.

 

These physicals skills that are treated like magic is a bad idea is like giving to a monkey a gun!

 

Dragon tooth is treated as magic if u spam why u invite a mage u can protate by ur own

 

Halbs aren't really as common like katana or ths tho
Also damage drops for what? Dragon Tooth? Finale? Again halberds are a rare breed now all I see is ths and CF spammers or katana so that isn't really a realistic example having a full party of halberds

Don't other classes spam too tho?
