Knuckle build ideas

So I just got my slotted Twin Eagles last night. I want to make a brawler but I don't have any idea on builds and playstyle. I have always been a halberd user since I started toram and my equipment are mostly geard towards DT. I would like to ask for your suggestions on what kind of brawler I can make given with what I have:
Tyrant Mask (york)
Mozt armor (boss drop)
Muscle talisman iii (venena)
FC player crafted armor
Nighcap (choco ooze ii)
Lots of daggers and halberds

 

Full Agi Rest Str
Twin Eagles/Guardian dagger or Odd shaped knife/Mozt Armor or need a diff arm for dark elem boss/Tyrant mask/Muscle Talisman III or better

Thanks, how about skill build.
There is the Kamehameha thingy and the motion speed buff?
I see most players use the kamehameha. Can I get both? Or one is trash like chronos drive.

 

It’ll depend on your playstyle. Imo chariot is a must, since it is an aoe skill which is useful for annoying mobs and has a 12m range, enabling you to cast at a safe distance even if the boss is inside an aoe skill, or if you’re a lil gay to fight on melee range. Rush on the other hand is optional but pretty useful so you can get it as well if it will fit your style.

I see...
If I use chariot, I will be playing like DT.
Impact>chariot (smite)>finale.
Then recharge mp.
If i use rush need to comr close.

How about MP regen, shall i use maximizer or i can go with wcos

 

Maximizer is only applicable if you have staff or md equipped.

I can see from your intended playstyle that you can go knux + md, so you can rely on ampr, maximizer and resonance for mp.

Else, you can go staff + knux, forget about ampr completely and just rely on maximizer / resonance.

You can also use wcos if you want.

I still need to buy book of magicswordsman if I go MD to get resonance.
If i go the ampr route, should I take aggrevate?

I see players use staff fu chariot builds.why do they prefer staff over knucks as their main weapon?

I can give you a good gear break down for any type of sub you want and what stats/skills to use.

 

Yep, you need aggrevate for ampr.

Staff fu is usually full str, since it has more atk growth with that stat, plus the cdmg it gets.

I am just a casual player and does not farm or hunt.
I only earn spina selling talics I pick up opening boxes in maps.
I only javer around 500k with me whis is reserved to buy revitas

 

I think I will go for chariot +MD. Although I love to see multiple crit numbers go up just like strike stab. Chariot gives more damage and I have access to stun and flinch. Anybody wants to donate a book of magic swordsman?

idk how knucks work either but for the most pasrt it feels fun and frustrating at the same time since the damge is no where near eqaul to halbred of katanas

I still cant afford the book of magicswordsman. My damage is considerbly lower with knuck/md.
I'm farming till i get 1.5m

 

Well, are you free atm ? i still have 1 extra magic swordman book. You can have it for 1k

 

You could always build a "generic" knux build.
• Full agi - 30 vit - 60 Dex - rest crit(current cap leaves 110 stat points for it) or full agi - 90 vit - rest crit
- Dex gives a bit more attack, accuracy, cspd and (I think) aspd for knux but its not necessary if you would rather give more vit. Every 30 vit is approx 1k hp (on my knux character that's about how much 30 vit gave). Vit is a must though as knux characters are very close range and dodge/evasion/miss can fail.

• Most skills in the knuckles skill tree are pretty useful and good to max out. Smash and earthbind don't need to be maxed and can be left at lv5. Bash at lv6~10 is good. Rush is not necessary to max but useful as well for motion speed. Everything else max it out. Aggravate also has a "hidden" passive that causes armor break. Chakra maxed out lasts 30sec and gives +15 ampr, with full agi you'll be recovering mp pretty fast. Shell break + heavy hit can deal as much damage as chariot during your lower levels. If shell break deals armor break it restores 400mp for heavy hit and heavy hit deals 2 hits(and increases in damage dealt).
-You don't necessarily need impact if you can be creative with combos BTW.
-I also suggest getting blood bite(that's what its called right?) from the dark magic skill tree. At lv170 it'll heal 1.7k hp - combo it with earthbind and put a swift tag on it and you'll heal a good 2k+ with it (estimated at the moment).
-The passive dash from KTN skills is kinda a must as well.
-Reflex from DW skill tree is an OK skill to consider, if anything its good for combo fillers. Same for quick aura from halberd skill tree and holy fist from priest skill tree. Good combo fillers/starters/enders. Reflex might be best to buy as a star gem but will only take 6 skill points to unlock if you'd rather spend the points then buy it.
-In the battle skill tree max out the atk up passives and crit passive. I suggest the dodge one as well.
-Survival skill tree you'll mainly just need the HP up skill, mp + is not necessary but you can get it if you want.

• For equipment and xtals, its not overly expensive. You could also go with the assassin garb. Its stats are really good for knux characters. 15% physical pierce, evasion rate and anticipate; +15 crit rate and dodge, and -15% aggro.
-Additional can be cat tail, 3% stab, agi and dex; 15% accuracy and dodge. Gothic hat, +15 crit rate. Or assassin mask, +3&3% crit damage, +5 dodge and +10% anticipate. -Sub could be shield or dagger. I use biscuit dagger currently, -20% aggro, +200mp. Odd knife is good for guant knife attack.
-And any talisman IV works but agi one would be best.
- The weapon itself on that I can't say much. Player made is OK. But NPC and dropped ones are good too. I use the last anniversary knuxs, 6% short range damage and agi, 18% dodge, 4% absolute dodge and 2.1k hp.

• Xtals, well that's pretty easy. On additional I suggest Zoe, +9 ampr and +3 crit damage. Relatively cheap to get as pumking and jeila are cheap xtals. On armor, if its 1s just use iconos or ornlarf. If 2s add ifrid. For weapon, its up to you but pomie-chan is the best for knux but a bit expensive. And for tali use Deniela, +6 ampr and 1k HP. If you ever get a 2s tali add tapir to it, that's another +10 ampr.

Good luck with your build and character. And remember: Knuckles are literally damage per second characters, not burst damage like finale mages, cf, DT or or tenryu. Your chariot burst damage probably won't compare.

 

Yeah getting that book (and maxed magic blade mastery passive) is key for knux/md because it gives you back 10% atk (out of 15% atk loss for md sub). From this book i would also throw in 6 more SP to get Resonance (lvl 1 is enough for its main purpose, I don't like the randomness of the buff personally). Its very useful for a quick refill of MP.
