Long Range skill for SC?

Someone on yt said..
"Shining Cross is just like Knuckle's Chariot. Skill Long Range will increase the damage even you use the skill in short range. This is different to the long / short range dmg% in equipments."
Is that true? No? Why?

 

it's true, also supposedly SC is isplace so it won't work with whack,long range passive or range% stats but because it's made to work with said modifiers it's a special case.

So it's worth to take long range skill for close meele combat with shining cross, yes?

 

if you're fine with with all the sp you need for +10% dmg, why not?

It does work, I have tested myself when the skills where 1st added to make sure i wasnt going to waste Skill points without long range archer skill my Shinng cross damage was 217k x2 , after i maxed the Long Range Archer passive skill it jumped o 237k x2

 

An extra 1.1 multiplier is quite high, getting it will surely be worth the skill points~

So sc is counted as both short and long range??

 

Any skill that CAN be used from 8 meters and above will take in the LRD skill passive into damage calculation. The srd/lrd stats from equips whereas depend on the distance which the skill is used from. If it's under 7 meters, it'll take srd from equips into calc. Even snipe can take srd% into calc lol

 

Oh, thought it somehow takes srd% and lrd% at the same time

Cause the long range passive from bow skills buffed it regardless of distance

 

That's for every skill. LRD passive skill goes directly into misc so it doesn't matter where you use the skills, as long as it can be used 8 meters and above and isn't placed, it'll ALWAYS take the damage boost into calculation. That lrd% and one from equipments are calculated separately.
