It won't hurt but there are better skills to invest SP in and you can still farm just fine without it especially if you're just farming low level mobs.

The 2s spec with the purple xtal is a gift by my guild master. Very thankful

Lv1 maximizer healed me for 1.5k mp, when coryn club says only 600 mp I just had to test it further (fast forwarded cuz it's too long xD edit - oh no, I uploaded the non-fast forwarded version @0@)


My conclusion: the mp heal amount of maximizer doesn't change from lv1 to lv10 also, the base mp heal amount is 1k mp.

Yes, the base amount is 1k mp. Skill level affects only the charge time. I'm not sure about coryn club but it's in the skill thread Katzblazer and I shared above. Also, coryn club is managed by 1 person iirc...can't be helped that there are mistakes sometimes. I hope they do update it though

So finale is annoying to use @0@ when the boss has low hp and finale misses x.x would you guys recommend using burst for bosses that move around too much? If not, what are my other options?

 

It can't be helped when that happens, unless you can stun the boss before casting (which still doesn't happen often). It's been a while since I've played a mage so I don't know if there are more creative builds these days but for me before, I made sure I had 2k mp so that even if the first finale misses, I can do another one right away. Knowing when to time your finale works too, even though the boss moves around a lot, there should be a window time when it's staying one spot, right?

 

why would you want to play luk mage again? I don't see much advantage beyond mob farming, which doesn't need finale for most part.

 

Hi! Other than mob farming, I do think we'll come at a point in the future where we'll be able to max 2 stats. I believe that luk mages would be good for boss farming too when the time comes.

Also, I could solo farm the rares of easier bosses. I don't even have full luk yet (since I remade my luk mage; it's only lv 68 right now I think?) and I was able to get 5 xtals today farming hanami event chapter 2. I think that is good

 

I am working my way towards getting 2k mp. Still missing a heaven feather garb (seele is too hard for me atm @0@) and max mp skill from survival skill tree.

Been trying, but I guess I should study the movvements of the boss I'm farming some more @0@ thanks for the reply!

 

Well, there is not much more we can do about finale mages in general. You're pretty much in locked state with finale. The best way to optimize finale for now is to use staff+magic device, resonance and warcry of struggle. Wcos can fill in mp cost gap to unleash more finale. Godspeed wield would also be good for "save" bosses. Something like maton sword that have predictable aoes. Gsw would speed up your casting animation so the overall damage output per duration of time would be enhanced, you'll most likely die in 1 hit though.

No -revive time ava stats, no play dead skill and there's a 3-4-second delay when I take screenshots. The -30% revive time stat in the garb means -90 seconds off the default revive time.
