Lv.70 Brawler Update, a short analysis

Martial Discipline does not reflect on your base attack but, it is a multiplier of skill damage, around ~ 10-20% multiplier at Lv.10 (still need confirmation on actual percentages because of fluctuating damage due to stability).
Triple Kick always crits, can hit around 10k per kick with Smite and the element counter to the target's, example;
Water is strong on Fire
Fire is strong on Earth
Earth is strong on Wind
Wind is strong on Water
and Dark and Light are strong on each other.
each stronger element deals +25% additional damage
this also is true when using elemental arrows which can boost Snipe damage considerably
Heavy Smash deals the same damage as Triple Kick, but with more MP needed (400), deals lethargy (attack down)

Martial Discipline really bothers me. It SHOULD be an attack animation increase instead of ASPD. Although I don't think that would push Brawlers into being a DPS even if it was +50% DPS. I'd like it as it would improve everything they already do well(Tanking, Breaking, Debuffing) and make their DPS okay ish.

At least we got Tanking, Breaking, and AOE XD.

yep, in terms of boss runs, we can easily achieve both Tanker and Breaker, with the condition that no other party member wears + aggro gear.

Great analysis ^^. Its kinda hard to compete even for breaker and tank rank against other who use full status skill combo.
Well despite our dissappointment, theres a new slight glimmering hope. The new door boss is weak against shell break.. ^_^. Brawler can snag attacker rank as well.
Smited shell break can goes to 3-4k damage output. Along with high ampr, 4mp bars can be gained quickly to spam that.

And brawlers aren't simply hp sponges compared to one handers.

Mages arnt useless at all, they can tank and break and do a lot of dmg, impact tumbles and can break boss and storm gets a lot of agro and deals huge dmg, not to mention storm is also amazing for multiple mini boss farming

using Smite, crit hits:
Heavy Smash (Lv.10): 4.6k
Triple Kick (Lv.10): 7.5k (2.5k per hit)
Shell Break (Lv.10): 2.3k

tested passive:
Martial Discipline (Lv.10): +100aspd, no attack animation improvement, no base attack increase.

pending damage test:
Hidden Arm & Intense Knife damage up. Would be nice if someone post their test data, i'm assuming it's on the low spectrum compared to Dual Wield auto attacks.

discussion:
1. problem with the current knuckle weapon: compared to the newly released weapons, it has the lowest attack (jamadhar at a35-37+).

2. heavy smash: no visual icon till when is the buff active (compared to shell break, the cracked crystal) slow attack animation (same with bash). Big Con: 400mp, low damage compared to other Lv.70 skills.

3. triple kick: they should have at least made it 7-8k per hit, to have a decent damage comparable to other skills, always giving crit hits. Big Con: 300mp, low damage compared to other Lv.70 skills.

with the current updates, it only gave a clearer hint that this class will never be a DPS type, and with the setup of being able for other classes to use brawler skills without limit, it only proves that it's role is tank+breaker+debuffer.

getting the new Lv.70 skills depends on your personal preference.
in my opinion, it's not worth getting, because of the following points;

1. Heavy Smash: you can always flinch+tumble the target, rendering it unable to do constant auto attacks, and looking at the boss pattern, it's not all auto attacks, it also gives aoe which everyone can avoid (except if it's so huge). the lethargy effect reduces attacks around 10-20% not worth getting, no visual indicator to tell how often you need to cast it.

2. Triple Kick: what's the use of doing 7.5k hit if other classes are designed to do more than 100k crit hit? imagine a Lv.54 Archer hitting 168k crit on snipe because of your Shell Break debuff. if you wanna bring down a hard miniboss/boss, bring 1 dps class, and take care of the tank+breaker+debuff.

3. Martial Discipline: waste of skill points.

Yes but it also has a 100%crit rate and -150% crit damage meaning you'll only be making 0-1 damage.

Doesn't shell break guard break the enemy? Why not shell break then triple?

i havent tried that myself .-.
but i'm assuming triple smited would generate more as compared to SB.
currently in the process of remaking my build siiigh. but hey! glad there's still brawlers out there.

Frankly it's not much of an improvement(balanced)

Bows will still make you look like you are doing brawler damage.

I was with a party with 2 lv 70 mages ,one mage under 70 fighting the giant knight.

The dps took quite a long time.(though he did just give me Damascus ore and hard stone only lol)

If I had a party of bows.,The GK would Surely be killed in one hit( maybe two)

If u had a party of bows the gk would surely be killed in 1 hit? Or 2? Arnt u a bow user or bg user? How many hits did it take u lmao, also i pted with a lvl 70 bg user at ooze and guess what i still got 1st rank, also storm hits about 2x harder then wall, i hit gs around 5,1k each tick and other bosses usually around 16k each tick, plus its sorta instant cast so no its not really brawler dmg is it

Don't ever claim to be first at something. :v
Most builds besides dual wielding has been done before in alpha, all we are doing is re-discovering stuff.

FYI, there is a thread w/ video on evasion tank brawler already in this forum. Knuckles+Shield isn't new, and u certainly weren't the 1st one to do it.

Btw, I am sure I have seen a video before of a guy doing knuckles+arrow. So that got me thinking: Can't I just use Snipe as a brawler? 0_o

Yes bows can do 100k in a single hit but still to do that u need to time it etc, if u havnt got a sniper u wouldnt understand that snipe isn't stable and can be avoided, and yes they were using snipe but it was guarded a lot of times, u shouldn't see a class do 100k+ in 1 hit then praise it and say its the best etc and no need to hate on mages or other classes, should i hate on ur tank brawler that i can out tank and then say ur not a tank? Well that would just be rude of me, remember archer and mage is pretty balanced, archers are bad in terms of dps for aoe compared to mages with storm etc, yes archers are basically meant for single targets because thats there strong point, mages are okay for single targets but at best for multiple, I've already said awhile ago in a different thread, archers will have high single target DMG, mages will have high aoe DMG, warriors high single target DMG and brawlers for support and delaying the boss as much as u can, brawlers can even assist on dmg, I said this before the lvl 3 skills even came out

actuely your not the first toram shield brawler check other posts I did utube vids dating back over 6 weeks ago and also through alpha 11 months dnt believe me? ask around.and yes archers are good I won't deny it I was in a pt with 3 all using snipe did take massive chunks out of the new knight boss but funny thing is when they tackled a s.roar and snipe failed due to evasion they were k.o'd every boss needs a certain skill group depending on the situation I.m.o
