So far as i've seen, all the difference is that Mdevice has a little more attack speed, and Mdevices do take up both the main and secondary weapon slots, so, are Mdevices better? Or are staves longer ranged or something?
*Also, what skills do you reccomend for a dps magic pet?*

Staff gives small cast reduction on pet mp charge, bows gives better cast time on pet support skills but use aspd and ampr for mp management. Other weapons dont give any bonus to pet skills other than these two.
Btw, most pet tamers say that its easier to capture pets using knuckles due to the fact that it have less damage and less likely to accidentally kill your target.

I was confused since pet dont have 2 weapon slots, they have A weapon and thats it. Unless your pet is an agi based like knucks and md, you wont see much diffrence in aspd. Just saying. Altho dodge and agile nature also boost aspd whatever weapon the pet is holding even just a bit.

There is no weapon slots if you're talking about pet's weapon. And both of them gives +4MATK per INT. So it's up to you whether you're going to consider any other factors (like Normal Attack factors) or not. But in my opinion, only the +4MATK per INT is important when my pet uses skills.
