Main Staff Sub MD

Hi, i have a question.
I know if you use Staff on Main weapon, the MD eff dont work very well. But if i put it on element and dmg% to certain element on MD, i'll deal more dmg with the Staff (main weapon)?

 

No. MD stat wont affect your damage, nor other stat, if anything it reduces your atk. Using staff paired with md only allows you to utilize magic swordsman and dancer skills.

 

It doesnt increase the radius for magic aoe skills anymore ?

Element for magic skills is taken from main weapon, there is no dual element system for magic skills.
All stats on md subweapon are ignored, except its element for certain skills on magic warrior tree. So dmg to ele% on sub md is useless.

 

Ether Flare uses the sub MD element. if it is the advantageous element you get a 30s ampr buff.

Element Slash uses the sub MD element. if it is the advantageous element the chance to inflict Weaken multiplies tenfold.

Resonance applies stronger buff effects with higher refinement value of the sub MD.
(refinement has no other effect here than this, so don't bother with +S)

Dancer skills can also be used with daggers, which provide extra stats and have no negative side effects.

so far there is no MD skill that cannot be used with a staff, and the staff bonus always takes priority because it is the main weapon.

 

the magic device does nothing at all when its a sub weapon with a staff.

 

Resonance alone is more than enough for me to use md as sub. Instant 1k mana with no casting time is no joke.

Also you can get +50Matk and +20% cspd if you max out Magic Warrior Mastery.
