Hi guys, im very newb to pets and ive only read a few guides about pet natures and such.
Finally got 2 that caught my attention.
1) MD/Genius/Justice

2) 1HS/Genius/Justice

Need advice on my further actions.
At this point i have a fully geared brawler tank which would probably be very good with the MD pet (got so lucky on those skills), but what stats to raise, 200+ int and rest vit?
As for the second one Im not sure if I could be using it as a tank for my 2HS dps (it HAS the aggro skill, but other skills are "meh").
Will be grateful for your opinions on these babies.
P.S. waiting to get +50% training on my md lol.

 

That cube is a great magic pet. Good aggro generation. The duo is a great fusion pair too if you want to power it up. But be prepaired for the longest grind of your life for a pet. Magic lance is a "prime legacy skill" for magic based pet weather it is int main or vit main. In your case you got it at level 2, i wont be suprised if you give up when it reach level 8 if lucky lvl9 since it would take months of grind(close to a year, sadly) to cap the level of that skill. The other guy is good too just toggle off other skills and just use rage attack, you will fall in love with it, just make sure you pump int after capping vit to make sure that rage attack will never miss(just dont expect any damage from him but he is the better aggro tank pet amongst the two) if you plan to go solo as an assasin, he be your best bud. You can do that "kancho stab" with perfect aim if you manage you aggro wisely.

 

Okay, so how about pet fusion?
Just now summoned my other good cube, lol:

So if i lvl both and lvl lance on 03 i could fuse with locking MD and get either:
MD/Genius/Justice
MD/Genius/Intelligent
With inherited lance and hide?
What stats should I aim for them, int/vit?
Disciplined my 01 already, so now it has 230int/100vit.
Im wondering about the fusion, is it used mainly for getting the skills or powerups?
If i dont fuse my pets (only once for skills) will it still be powerful or not really?

 

This guy is an awsome speciment. A FRIGGIN LEVEL 5 MAGIC LANCE!!! (I got my legacy skill from a low level pet, you are one lucky guy!) As a said before in my pet build, "getting the corner skill is lucky, getting it good is a total blessing!")

Pet fusion is not simply putting one pet on top of the other to make bebes! Best advice i can give you is a fusion roadmap for your 3 pets(yup all 3 of them be burned to make 1 custom pet!) There is a little thing on the left lower side of pet status menu called "pet power" it makes every fused pet much stronger than their parents(for in-dept discussion on pet fusion, i recommend reading the whole 9yards about "the 10k pet")

As for the rule of thumb in every fusion: all pets must reach level cap first and also the "legacy skill" must be capped first too(prep up 4-5 big buckets of elbow grease! This be a wee bit grindy!)
First fusion:
Pet3+pet2: lock the nature(justice), and never forget that lvl10 magic lance. Grind the fused pet to level cap before you even think of step 2
Second fusion:
Pet(2+3) + pet1: lock the weapon(magic device), and as always, never forget that legacy skill.
You will end up with a magic cube that have:
Weapon:magic device
Type:genius
Nature:justice
Inherited skill 1: magic lance lvl10
Inherited skill 2: ???
It is the best DPS setup for a magic based pet.

Also a good advice: make a char slot an archer. If you ever made an archer, reserve 25sp for pet support skills. It will bring out the best performance of your pet. I am proud to say as a pet summoner that i took the road to level 150 with my pet alone (coz most parties i had have been horrible lol)

Btw, i may have plans in changing my pet app from stone to destiny cube in the future. That is just me. XD

Okay, another question is, why lock justice? I think that I read bout intelligent that it does more magic dmg no?
I know evading AoE is crucial and all, but me being spamo brawl tanker i can just flinch/tumble/stun/defbreak the boss so it rarely uses da skills.
In case I dont go intelligent, I have a few more "cubes" that i could try skilling up to get another top skill, lol (fusion fodder anyway). I had like a hundred cubes, so i still have those "best" i managed to capture.

Well, it is your pet afterall. Justice nature offers more aoe dodge moves and a good kick in ampr(great to have if a tank pet already have a lvl10 rage attack). Intellegent nature got a 30%matk boost(chuck in some good food and you got 30% more boost on top of that when you hit nature bonus) a great support feature for magic lance lvl 10. Just a reminder: magic lance cost 800mp to cast, and only bows got gud cast time redux on pet mp charge(which takes ages to cast)

Okay, so if i want a magic nuker i should go intelligent for the +30% or just stay justice.
Im not gonna lvl a bow just for the sake of casting faster, however my 100% ailment tank should probably handle it?
In case i would do tank pet it would probably be good to have a fast mp heal, but if im a bow and pet is md I would still need someone to tank for me xD

 

Pet mp charge is 6seconds long. It have same mechanic as finale(it was not affected by queen potum staff debuff lol)

Each time your pet cast magic lance, you are covered by pet's aggro worth of 800mp. But your pet only got 1k mana pool by default(if your pet got mp boost, it be bigger)
Between us having diffrent playstyle(you being close range and me long range) i can only notify you on things to consider while walking your pet to battle. Still it is your pet that you have to mold to work along side your playstyle.

 

Hm, well then ima try going for MD/Genius/Intelligent so i guess best choise would be getting a MP boost as inherited2 and suck up to casting for 6sec the mp recoveries xD
Tried lvling for 3~4hrs, got both 1 -> 65.
Its pretty fast with white day boss +50% exp lol. Too bad i didnt get any bonuses from food, only natures, hehe.
Just go douce hamlet from lvl1, 1-22 coryn/wooly and then candela 40/70 till ~65+

P.S. even justice does not evade candellas skyfall, its just standing, waiting for the inevitable. I could say that it pains me to see it die, but its even more painful receiving 1k additional dmg on my head from Hide skill, LMAO. At least with it, it can survive 2 hits from that blue AoE xD

 

Use normal food. The very least there is an exp boost lol. And also look for happines ring/bangle/charm/forgot lol, from them birds with a name similar to them tuyuls. It got 10% exp boost for pets(better than nothing i guess)
I usually start of with masked warrior(got loads of exp) then transfer to bkod(coz he does not move much lol) when my pet gets 10 levels away from normal mode. Finale mages shine as the main coach(plus i can use queen staff, heck, even my tec mage can train my pet as it grind some levels)

 

Well im thinking of what to grind next till i reach ~90 (for candella mint).
Would ancient empress NM be good? (Coryn club says YES xD).
Also im interested in Flare Blast skill. If the skills lvl up by mob kill count, doesnt this skill make it retardingly fast to lvlup skills (its an AoE)?

Pets can be dyed to look like a miniboss(reserve that 3 orbs*wink*) haru-chan already did that to her cassy and dyed it like caspy(she got a lot of inquiries on how to capture a miniboss as pets)

 

Similar to how i dyed my Wandering Shadow into a fake Shining Gentleman.

 

Grinded lance to lvl8 today, but i still dont have MP skill (it always goes up in da branch, lol).
LVLed all 3 of them to 80, but at this point its hard.
Candela 70 - low exp
Candela 100 - pet dies till i solo kill boss
Don Yeti - exp beyond crap (if i compare it to candela 70)
So i might be impatient and fuse them when i get the lance to lvl10, but then max lvl80 is probably rip?
All 3 pets have around 20~30 power each atm

 

Dumb question so intelligent is preferred because it gives magic boost?
Also where can I read more on this sounds interesting to me
