Need help with 2h tempest

So i've been trying to make a 2h tempest char and i need help.

What equips should i use with stats and xtal?
suggest some long/short dps combos?

2h Tempest hmm; I guess some good stats would be:

2h Sword (Icebrand Glacier/1st Anniversary Sword III (the last one is more cheap at the moment), or Goovua Sword) Str 7% Atk 7% cdmg7% or Str 7% cdmg 7% cdmg 11
(For slot: PG for more mp and Bkod for even more dps focus....I recommend PG though, that mp is too good imo to overlook and PG does have physical pierce and short range damage if I remember correctly)
Armor :

Str 7% cdmg 7% cdmg 11 (Roga xtal for +1000 hp)

Additional Gear:
Inzanio cape (from the boss Inzanio at Fort Solfini) for pure dps focus Str 2% atk2% cdmg 2% if I remember correctly were the stats of it
if slotted go with Twilight Dragon Xtal: Short range damage +4% Long range damage +4% and Unsheathe attack +4% (Pretty much a plain: atk+4%, unsheathe attack doesn't have much relevance to 2h tempest)

Forehead Protector (event-limited, but some ppl still might have it): for more hp: +1500 hp, if slotted go with Twilight Dragon Xtal

Feather Cape: For more aspd; if slotted take Golden Skeleton xtal; (+300 aspd -10% hp) or Yelb (atk+3% aspd +50% and long range damage -10%? I don't quite remember )

Special Gear:
Muscle Talisman III (str +6 , max mp +400) if slotted go with Metal stinger (don't remember the stats)

Stat distribution: Full str, then either go Vit for more hp or Dex for more dps focus

Combo: depends on the boss; a common one for tempest users is:

hard hit-> Astute (save)->impact(cons)-> Tempest(smite)->trigger slash (cons)

You can make this combo longer (and thus increase the damage of tempest by putting skills between Astute and impact with a con tag; however the first skill after astute has to be a 200mp skill or less; otherwise the con tag won't make up for the amount of mp cost.

For non flinch bosses switch hard hit with holy fist; for non tumble it's harder since you kind of rely heavy on impact for tempest to utilize full damage; a double smite consisting of Astute and Trigger Slash might be better then:

Holy Fist-> Tempest(save)-> Astute/trigger (smite)-> Sonic blade (cons)-> Trigger Slash (smite)-> Rampage (smite)/combo ender

Why rampage at the end; because this skill won't execute if you have mp that doesn't exceed 1000; if it does; switch rampage to a combo ender....Assault attack might be the best then; but it really depends on bosses; I suggest for non-tumble bosses you come up with a combo for yourself

Does this combo work on boss hunts with a party full of spammers?

I'm new to 2h tho, should I just put HH, Spiral Air & Trigger Slash to lv 5?
and sword buffs to lv 10?
