Created a mage with the skills I like best and would be comfortable using in any scenario. I don't want to get javelin or lances, when I used those on a different mage, I really disliked them and the majority of players I've encountered with these skills vote against using them.
I don't really know what the skill next to magic wall (magic explosion... or something) is like (as I've never used it or seen others use it) so I'm not sure if I should invest in that either.

I currently have about 40 skill pts and I don't see myself investing in any of the other skills on the mage tree, are there any skills in other trees you think would benefit me?

    My mage has the skills:
    Magic arrows (lv10)
    Magic wall (lv 10)
    MP charge (lv 10)

    My mage's stats:
    Lv: 51
    INT: 114
    VIT: 20

Try imagine Javalin that deals damage to all monsters around the target.
Its damage, cast range, and cast time resemble Javalin.
The area of effect size is as wide as the outer circle of your Wall.

Those popular skill trees for mage are Priest, Support, and Survival Trees. However, there are unlimited way of learning skills in Toram.
Guard, Shield, Knuckle, Knight and Battle Trees are considerable too depends on your play style.

What are you going for? If it's dps I wouldn't recommend the skill pts in vit, put them all in int. If you really want the extra health, there's armor/xtals/support skill passives. (I use hp xtals on my mage for enough health to not die if hit by boss).

If you want to heal more with mini heal/make support mage, hp does increase heal amount (from what other players have discovered)

Or can go hybrid and add support/priest skills with your skill points - there are plenty of experienced players with guides on this forum. Takes away from dps, but I have bless on my mage to heal pt (I might respec skill points in future and just make full support mage tho)

You might want to level the skills up to 5 in order to unlock future skills.

Jud is right, depends all on play style -
Smash from knuckle tree to solo + break lower lvl bosses.
    Priest skill tree for support
Battle tree - Magic UP/Concentrate - I'm not sure Magic UP increases matk much. Heard Attack UP doesn't do much for swordsmen, might apply here too. Concentrate no experience with.

I wouldn't recommend any of the mp regen/increase as charge & +mp equip does the job...up2u though. If you can't find anything good, there's always option to save skill pts for future updates.

This is all speaking from what I've seen, but there's many options out there. Play around and check out some of the build guides & comments. Lots of good stuff. Good luck! ;)

    Hello,
That sort of the nice thing about toram, you can put points in what ever skills you like. It really depends on how you want to play. You could put the rest into a mage mage build, or into party heals/buffs, drop% whatever you want.

I was in the same situation as you the other day and also redid my Mage skills as I too was unimpressed with jav and lances.

Blast as mentioned above,@10, tho having quite the cast time, that can be reduced with chain cast, and thru the action speed boost in the combo set, with a proper team/Buffs can easily hit into 5 digit numbers.

    My skills for mage are:
    Magic arrow - 10
    Wall - 10
    Blast - 10
    Bless - 10
    Chain cast - 10
    Magic Mastery - 10
    MP regen - 10

I have a number of points left over 3 of which I put into MagicUp. The rest Im tempted to dump into MagicUp or short reset again, but I figured I'll wait till lvl 70 update to see what that brings and maybe get a jump on what ever is ahead.

    LVL 54
    121 int
    15 vit

pretty happy with it now as it keeps things a bit more exciting, can cash farm, team hunt and also 1 hit eerie with blast for fun on solo runs.

Hope you find what suits you the best and good luck.

Some people prefer to have 2nd level mage skill but me I vote against it. I used to have the skill, it was terrible. Long casting, MP cost 300, and not even good damage.
