Noob question about katanas

So I've been reading ezenio's thirst of slash guide and in the equipment section he mentions the 4th anniv katana and a player crafted katana . I wanted to ask what does he by a "player crafted katana" and how do I have specific stats on it .

 

Usually player Kanata’s are made by the blacksmith skill and are the tradable weapons. Kanata is like every other dps weapon. Usually crit either FC19 (CD7% CD19 CR19 CR19%) or S7FC19 (Stat+7% CD+19 CR+19 CR+19%) (this is from memory I could be wrong).

You can get off CB or ask a someone to stat it for you. You can make a stater by making a character with full tech and stater blacksmith skills. Character level with be the amount that you placed on weapon.

Such as only a level 190 lvl character can make 19 CD stat.

 

TBH, if u dont have modestia... Id rather get the npc version of 4th anniv katana ix. As it offers a decent amouny of crt, dmg and most of all a pierce weapon for katana which will negate some layers of defense. Keep in mind katana has a weak dmg scale, base too, which makes it prone to such defense scaling.

player made is good too but overall better to have the npc ver of it.

 

Gotya . So basically if I want to go with the player made choice I gotta make a specific blacksmith build or I as you said I could buy/ask someone to make it . I'm gonna stick with the NPC anniv until I understand the whole blacksmith class xD

Thanks , definitely gonna stick with the NPC made one as you said but I will still have to learn about the whole blacksmithing deal eventually
