the diving mini-game with Octokraken returns!
with a new system, adjusted score points and possibly new exchange rewards as well.

the nude Sea Shell Armor will be avaiable again, and probably another new armor.
since nobody made a topic about it yet, this is the last chance to guess what it will be.

so am I the only one finding it extremely hard not to afk for 4 mins and come back with 26k points

 

Compare to last year, purposely wait for kraken come out and none stop hunt for an hours and get only few K point per run.......hmmm...Yes, not difficult at all.

 

I blame asobimo for the new system, why they always make things so abuseable. Last year was boring, but still better compared to this.
I find it completely hard not to login into multiple account and afk, comeback 4 min later with 26k point.

 

Welp. time to go back to english server. Better to avoid international server to avoid server crash. Ass-obimo did mention that their customer service won't be available during summer (I don't know how long).

 

It's almost sad/insulting that every time you go in there are people yelling about people being AFK to the point that they yell at you for like chatting. Sheesh i can shoot at tentacle-sama while chatting - just hold the action button and fire off.

It's also hilarious that there are toxic indos (i acknowledge that not all indonesians are like that - i know many indos that are very friendly) who are being like :v and wkwk while cursing at "afk" players.

 

Well, actually there was like more than 10 people afk every round. The system are just made to benefit the rich who can login in multiple device and just AFK their character.
1.Login into 10 multiple account.
2.Wait 5 min
3.???
4.Profit.

Just like that, in 1 or 2 days they could get seashell for every account.

Yes it does, that's why this year suck! It encourage people to afk.

 

even if you decided to shoot the thing normally,it still takes approximately 800 dive 25000/1 rate for full rewards.

the octopus auto dead after 4-5 minutes.

taken 3200 minutes or 4000 (53 hours + or 67 hours + of consecutive shooting non-afk gameplay)

but can you keep that 25000 is still in question.

it was alot harder and more retarded last year,i think my eyes dropped by 1° just farming that trash.

 

I try solo to compare, got between 800 point per dive + 1k point as bonus.
If this keep going, you will be the only one who play while the other 31 player will goes afk.

Took you way more time than last year.

 

Despite the AFK shit, I kinda like this year's modifications. The bowgun can be shot like a machine gun now. That is hella fun to just hold down the action button and release a giant salvo of arrows on stuff. Holding down action also keeps the targetting system locked on whichever fish you chose... even if it leaves the view of your screen, it still keeps shooting it. This made it hella easier to burst down a shark even when it's dashing around.

As for the bots, I won't lie. It's a love hate relationship for me. I'm looking forward to getting a second seashell app, so lower prices are favourable for me, but at the same time, it's annoying and super frustrating to see that half the people in each run on int1 are bots and it brings down the score.

In addition, the people who are saying "leave the run" if there are too many bots also makes the event not fun cuz it's basically just bots vs anti-bots all over. There's no jokng about tentacles or cursing the sharks who are ramming players.

 

Thse modifications make the event more fun n easier!
Even newbies can do it if they got a lil spina for arrows :v

English server has fewer afk people than international server. Also shooting the octopus itself won't be needed as it will automatically die after certain minutes and it gives fixed points, BUT destroying its forehead and killing the random 2 tentacles which spawn above the sea bed will give extra points. So I after those got taken care of, I usually back to hunt down fishes until octo dies.
