Online dating....

Couldn't figure out the appropriate place to post this. So figured this would be the best section.

Well, I've had my fair share of creepy encounters. However, today someone randomly private messaged me. First thing he said was, "you're cute". Then before I could reply, he quickly followed up by asking, " where you from?". Being polite I said "thank you, and I'm from the west". He then asked, " you have bf ingame?" I replied by sayin, "sry, Im not interested", and blocked him. This is the 3rd random person to do this. Toram has the weirdest and creepiest gaming community I've encountered. Anyone have similar encounters or am I just unlucky?

 

Yes I have been encountered by males and "females" telling me I am cute or etc
my usual reaction is "no speak anglish" or sometimes Je ne parle pas anglais if I need to be more convincing (btw that means I do not know english)

Me and several other girls in my guild have at one time or other been encountered is normally same way they whisper and say hello then if you reply they say something like your cute or ask for personal information like your location your chat apps/social media and sometimes your age sex/sexualty and if your single or not
try and avoid never try and be friends or they will continue to flirt or it will be last time you speak as they will hunt for someone else some of them will even shout things like lfgf (looking for gf) or lfbf (looking for bf) normally is male
anywho I would just ignore these kind of people 90% of the time only play for a few days and quit

Well, it's currently one of the best armors for most mages and seeing how it's a pain to get, i doubt people wouldn't brag about having it and simply synth the look.
But then again, i hardly see any guys with that armor. e.e

I think it's alright to encounter something like this. I mean, my current bf is also from toram xD i met him when toram was still in Alpha. And yah, i'm just the same as you. Alot of ppl said "you're cute" "i should get to know the real you" and bla, bla, bla. Because i'm the type of girl that don't give a ---- xD i completedly didn't bother them at all. Pfft, what am i? xD but it's a different story when it comes to my bf... >///<

Anyway, some people may say something like that. But their intentions are actually good. Welp, some of them actually. And yep, toram has alot that kind of people tbh. But if they are getting really annoying, just hit me up. I'll be glad to help for someone who needs it '^'

Everyone has there own opinion on online dating
for facts I say 90% just some role play fun 10% actually becomes a real relationship (I not sure but most usually do not last for ever)
However most who do online date usually can be catagory in different types
1. To fulfill a loneliness they feel
2 for fun
3 a bond with someone online
4 its a great way to flirt with people and have relationship without the downsides and fallbacks a irl relationship has
5 some I met simply enjoy the fact they have someone to love

But through what I seen and experience there almost always the same...a slow death....
does not mean you shouldn't give a try or mean your catagoryed just a few notes I made
online dating can be a good experience (however I wouldn't try and date someone who is just 100% trying hardest to date someone or believes that they must have a love and does not matter who (if see someone like this its. Obvious something not right)
but to be honest like, its up to the player
I cant say online dating good or bad I must say it's both ways its up to you if you want to or not (my suggestion follow your heart)
Also Note: I do not think this thread a good idea may cause drama in long run

But out of curiosity how would people feel about weddings in toram (I played some pc mmos that had this option)
