Hi I'm new here :) Nice to meet you!
    ******************************
Brawler seems not to be interested by many players because of low DPS and being too soft against bosses who have fast casting skills. However, the Status Ailments from Martial Skills are really useful. So i had an idea: why not combine Martial Skills with other Weapon Skills by using knuckles? It would be fun since the lastest update released :D
(Sorry for my English, I used Google Translate :p)

    KNUCKLES AS MAIN WEAPON:
Objective: Balance Attacker - Breaker - Tank - Support

    1. Stats:

    Full INT (1INT = 4MATK) or INT -> VIT

    2. Equipments:
    - Main Weapon:

    Drills (Crit Rate +100, Crit dmg -150): you don't need physical damage so it will be better if crit appears in your every hit (cannot miss except against Evasion);
(base atk: 60) This knuckle is so good
    - Sub-weapon:
You need a Magic Device to increase the AOE of [Magic: Wall] (wider than Staff) and reduce [MP charge] cast time
    - Body Armor:
    Heavy Remodelled Armor
    - Additional Gear:
    Crystal Earrings (MaxMP +300)
Nun Hat (Cast Speed +200, ...)
    - Special Gear:
    Magic Talisman II
    - Xtal: + MP/HP recommended

    3. Skill:
    - Martial Skill Tree:

The chance to inflict Status Ailments increased by equipping knuckles
    [Smash] lv10: 100% Flinch
    [Sonic Wave] lv10: 100% Tumble
    .....
    - Magic Skill Tree: Main dmg skills
    [Magic: Arrows] lv10
    [Magic: Wall] lv10
    [MP charge] lv10
    .....
(any changes can be made since the lv3 skills have been added to your own preferences of build)
    - Survival Skill Tree:
    [Safe Rest] lv5
    [HP Boost] lv10
    [Short Rest] lv5
    [MP Boost] lv10
Add [Fighter's High] and [Sober Analysis] if you have enough points and find them useful
    - Priest Skill Tree:
    [Bless] lv10
    - Knight Skill Tree:
[Assault Attack] lv0-10: Rush at the target (6m), make slow and knock back (100% chance at lv10) - The movement is not really fast so knocking back the target help you avoid an attack
    [Provoke]: .... xD
    - Support Skill Tree:
Mini Heal lv0-10: add this if you have a lot of MP
    - Guard and Battle Skill Tree:
    .....

    4. Combo:
    - Combo #1: (300MP)

Smash -> Sonic Wave (Consecutive) -> Magic: Wall (Swift) or Assault Attack -> Smash (Consecutive) -> Sonic Wave (Consecutive) -> Magic: Wall (Swift)
    - Combo #2: For farming
Magic: Wall -> Bless (Swift) or Smash/Sonic Wave -> Magic: Wall (Swift) -> Bless (Swift)
    - Combo #3: For some bosses have more than 1 break part and required to run around
    Smash -> Sonic Wave (Consecutive)
(any changes can be made since the lv3 skills have been added to your own preferences of build)

    Pros:
    - Easy to break bosses
    - Damage dealt is not as high as the damage of Mage but still good ;)
    - Independent, can go solo or handle the battle when your teammates had been downed
    .....

KNUCKLES AS SUB-WEAPON: (reduces MATK, no stats added but it increases the chance to inflict Status Ailments and damage of Martial Skills)
There are 3 classes who can equip knuckles as sub-weapon: Mage, 1H Warrior and Gunner
    - Mage: low ATK and HIT mean low p.dmg and can cause miss frequently -> waste of points in Martial Skill Tree
    - 1H Warrior: high HIT, damage dealt relies a lot on Sword Skill Tree, good enough to break bosses with Hard Hit but it's also really fun to play if you put some points to Martial Skill Tree :D
    - How about Gunner? High ATK and HIT but low stability. The point is that Gunner gains too much aggro from Shot Skills and if your party doesn't have a good tank, you will always have the fear of being chased by the bosses. Besides, I don't like charging Power Shot just for more damage and '1MP bar' combo. Therefore, it's worth adding points to Martial Skill Tree in order to reduce the risk of being attacked. So let's start building for Gunner!

    1. Stats:
    Full DEX (1DEX = 4ATK) or DEX -> CRT

    2. Equipments:
    - Main Weapon:

Hunter Bowgun (Crit Rate +12, ...)
War Bowgun (Crit Rate +12, ...)
    Magic Bowgun (AMPR +3, ...)
    Player's Craft (+ Crit Rate, ...)
    - Sub-weapon:
    Any Knuckles
    - Body Armor:
    Light Remodelled Armor
    - Additional Gear:
Feather Cape (Attack Speed +500, ...)
Fluffy Tail (Attack Speed +100, Crit Rate +3, ...)
    Magic Scarf (MaxMP +100, AMPR +3, ...)
    War Helmet (Crit Rate + 10, ...)
    - Special Gear:
    Dexterity Talisman II
    Warrior's Bangle (MaxHP +200, AMPR +3)
    - Xtal: + Crit/MP recommended (Manuez xtal? o_O)

    3. Skill:
    - Martial Skill Tree:

    [Smash] lv10
    [Sonic Wave] lv10
    .....
    Save points for future update
    - Shot Skill Tree:
[Power Shot] lv5: useless because of long cast time and low fall down chance
    [Moeba Shot] lv10
    [Paralysis Shot] lv0-10
    [Shot Mastery] lv0-10
    [Sneak Attack] ...
    [Long Range] lv0-5
    .....
(any changes can be made since the lv3 skills have been added to your own preferences of build)
    - Magic Skill Tree:
    [MP charge] lv1
    - Survival Skill Tree:
    [Safe Rest] lv5
    [HP Boost] lv10
Add [Fighter's High] and [Sober Analysis] if you find them useful
    - Guard and Battle Skill Tree:
    .....

    4. Combo:
    - Combo #1:
    (100MP) close distance
Smash -> Sonic Wave (Consecutive) -> Moeba Shot (Consecutive) [-> Paralysis Shot (Consecutive)]
    - Combo #2: (100MP) far distance
Sonic Wave -> Moeba Shot (Consecutive)
Note that maximum distance to cast Sonic Wave is 16m so Moeba Shot won't be activated if you're further than 12~14m away from the target
Can change to: Moeba Shot -> Sonic Wave (Consecutive)
(any changes can be made since the lv3 skills have been added to your own preferences of build)

    Pros:
    - Easy to break bosses
    - Instant cast skills, can do high damage at close distance without being attacked or easier to keep distance from the target
    - Fast MP regen per hit
    ....

Staff-Knuckle Build: (Just for fun :D)
With the new lv3 skills on Magic and Martial Skill Tree, I have an idea of replacing 2h sword into staff as a main weapon and knuckle as sub. Please watch the video below :p Thank greycat for helping me write this build in English! :)

    1. Stats:

The main stat will be pure STR in order to maximize the physical damage. Not a good dps but can inflict more Status Ailments in combo

    2. Equipment:

Since the stat is pure STR (low HIT) and don't have +Crit Rate effect from Astute, you may want to get Crit Rate from every single equipment that you have.
Lol Staff +Crt Rate and Str/Atk/.... Have you ever tried?
Note: If you want 300MP and 600ASPD from Morning Star, you will get minus Matk and can't break big bosses yourself but open the break parts for your party members to tap.

    3. Skills:
We'll use the benefit of [Power Wave] to widen normal atk range: For Staff from 2m to 7m at lv1, ~8.5m at lv5, 12m at lv10 so i think lv1 - lv5 is enough.
Triple Kick is main dmg skill

    4. Combo:
    - 100MP: Smash - Sonic Wave (Cons) - Bash (Cons) - Triple Kick (Cons)
    - 400MP: Smash - Sonic Wave (Cons) - Triple Kick (Smite) - Bash (Cons)
or Smash - Sonic Wave (Cons) - Triple Kick (Smite) - Shell Break (Cons) for better motion

Big fan of the Martial Gunner (or Gun-Fu or Gunkata or whatever). It is what allowed me to finally move beyond my pure brawler dependency. I reallyreallyreally wanted brawler to work but was ultimately a doomed relationship.

I thought I would miss the insane dodge/evade most, but MP Recovery hit me hardest. Investing in Sober Analysis mitigates, but I'm sure I'll miss the 15 skill points soon enough (tier 3 weapon skills please)

Anyway. Thumbs up. Bofo. Have fun. I lie

She never said that those builds were knuckle builds, just that they utilized knuckles.

I did not actually see the character using knuckles in the battles. Then does that mean this build can also work w/o the knuckles?
I think this thread is built not just for knuckle gears, but seem to just show the utilization of both magic and martial skill tree in order to effectively battle mobs.

correct me if i am wrong kuro XD

Yes, it can work without knuckles; however, as I mentioned above, the chance to inflict Status Ailments of Martial Skills increased by equipping knuckles (up to 100% Flinch & Tumble). If you don’t equip a knuckle, you will not know after using your skills whether the target be flinched/tumbled or not. This may increase the risk of being attacked or interrupted your combo. I generally prefer playing safe :)
Btw, i found that the Knuc-MD build is more effective than other classes while fighting against Arcoiris or Moonlight Potum...
Idk. I have always thought that when ppl say mage breaker, means that they are talking about mages using staff and cast Magic: Javelin :p

mage breaker is using knuckles as main and mdevice as sub. breaker skills comes from knuckle while there dps comes from mage skills.

Never meant it to offend you or refute your points. Probably should have put an XD at the end so you understood I wasn't being serious.
