If that was actually based off of rng, then yes. It can sometimes go your way, and the rng they have on what the boss does is probably better than the rng of getting decent items.

If it was you all stopping the moves via flinch and similar and are just mocking me, then 1: your argument is invalid, 2: yes, there's basic strategy in the game, but that's not something being discussed right now.
