In coryn they already update the info for pet foods
    • Pet gains bonus EXP by (Affinity x 10)%. I.e. at 100% affinity, it gets 1000% EXP.
    • The 10%, 30%, and 50% EXP bonus from food is multiplied with affinity bonus, means you got 1500% EXP when having 50% EXP bonus and 100% affinity.

If you are referring to the happiness talisman and oriental stuff, yes it affect pet exp(it says to the description). If you are referring to the paper hat, no.

Other than the 50% exp food buff, not yet. In fact that the armor is the newest on pet aficionados. So give it another 8months or so.

holy gems (for boss battles) affect all party members, but it's just 1% per gem.
(Traveller Gem is premium and Training Gem is from a difficult quest)
global effects such as Weekend Boost and the current Golden Boost work for pets as well.

Ever since the first nerf( the multi aggro gentle pet skill grind) it only a major pain for any pet skill grinder to cap pet skills.

    Can you explain that, please?

    1. I mean, what did the nerf do, exactly?

    2. &, does that mean it's better to (relatively quickly) single-kill mobs, on a gentle pet?

    3. Also, a semi-unrelated question:
Can close-ranged (ie: Knuck, staff, & OH) "Timid" still use support skills?

..Wanting to build a "buffer + team healer" pet. Possibly using the Medpot (Meditating Potum) pet, with its "double-tap auto" ability, but not sure the best nature combo to do this..

(I know the skills I want, just not sure of "best nature" for it, &, Idk if Medpot's double-tap affects "Timid / Gentle" natural regen.. :/ )

    PS:
Gonna move the latter part to a new thread, so as to help other pet-build makers. ^_^

Waaaaaaaaaaaaay back then. From the days of the 10k pet supremacy. Gentle pets share the target of the master, meaning landing a storm aoe skills means everything the storm hits is the kill of the gentle pet while active pets is stuck in one on one combat(except for the ones with aoe skill of their own). Every aggro gained by the master count the same for the gentle pet (only the gentle pet does that tho) you can cap any pet skill in no time at all.
Nowadays kill counts for skill grind is the same all around.
Support skill are not weapon reliant. It does not have range problem too.

So, kill counts are for all mobs aggro'd, all classes, now?

    Support skills:
    Thanks! ^_^

So, then a "Timid OH / Knuck / Staff" should be able to cast heals & buffs fine?
(Timid "close-range" types, apparently won't use certain skills, because it is not able to be casted farther than the required 4m.

<- shown in a YT video titled "Timid pet with all weapon types")

No. As i said, it was way back then. Pet gain kill count on mobs you targeted not mobs you aggroed. Hence it is now and forever will be a one on one kill.(unless your pet can do aoe attacks)

    Ah!

Smeh. Guess my Katana resist-tank would be faster than the mage..

Still needs at least 2-tick kills, yeah?

Gonna do deeper tests, using an actual timer of 5m, but thus far, seems my mage aoe skills-up my "Gentle" pet faster than the Katana's "3-tick kills".

Note: at the time of this comment, I only did ~5x one-on-one Katana kills vs 1x Mage's "Blizzard + Storm" combo.

All 3 skills went up 1% after the mage hits, but stayed @ the starting 14% during Katana hits.

(I should also try "new, untrained pets", one for each classification (ie: aoe vs one-on-one) for best confirmation of the tests.. ^_^)

    PS:
Using this page as a partial journal for pet tastings, so, I apologize for my ramblings.

(I can make a separate post, just for such things..)
