books and emblems are all personal.
only boss battle support gems and weekly boost events affect pet exp as well.

feeding higher quality food activates a random buff which can include exp boosts.

the Happiness Talisman has a "pet exp +10%".

pets don't benefit from the 'same level' bonus as players do. affinity raises exp gain instead. within a +-30 level range, pet exp gets multiplied by 10x the pet's affinity, resulting in 1000% exp at 100% affinity.

affinity displays how much the pet likes you. aside from the exp multiplier, it also scales the nature bonus.

The pet xp curve is very broad, and is shaped much like an open umbrella.
Roughly speaking, it is flat for the first decade (pet gets full xp, i.e. 100%, as long as the level difference between the pet and monster is less than 10.)
Over the next decade, there is a penalty at a rate of 1% for each additional level difference, so that there is a 10% penalty at level difference 19. At ±19, the pet gets 90% xp.
From 20 to 29, the penalty rate is 2%, from 30 to 39 it is 3%, etc. These penalties are all cumulative.
So, at ±29 there is a loss of 10% and also 20%; the pet gets 70% xp.
At ± 39, the loss (10+20+30)% results in pet xp of 40%.

At least, that is my best recollection of a year-old investigation. I think I reconstructed my conclusions correctly. Doesn't mean those conclusions were correct :)
