How long did it take you guys to get a skill to lvl10?
My lance is at lvl6 atm, im having a bad feeling that every level will get worse and worse, and lvl9 would be the worst, meaning longer to reach, is this a fact or no? lol

Yup it is a fact. Being a casual gamer it took me 3-4 MONTHS since i dont do full pledge storm grinding at the time all the time. It was december event last year iirc, from level 5-10. If you are unlucky and got lower level skill, better roll again with cheap pets.

Took me maybe a year+ to work it up on the side. The final 2 levels was with a very dedicated focus, and that took many months still. Its a super long slog, and even worse if you didn't roll lvl 4 or 5 at the start...

I have my moxiz with staff/magicAttack/intelligent and a fodder with md/magicAttack/intelligent, idk which to choose, help

Staff has no range if the pet doesnt have a magic auto. MD autos are much better in this situation

MDs also have higher aspd than staves ;)

staff benefits from STR, so it also works with natures like "physical attack" and "physical defense".
but if you are only looking for matk, they are both same (along with knuckles), but MD has the longest attack range.

The fastest way to level up a pet skill is to start a new level 1 character, equip it with a weak bow, have your pet in your party, and continually spam the auto attack button on monsters that your pet can finish in one hit.

My Rabby had HP Gain at level 2 when he first started out. Now I must continuously sit there spamming the auto attack button for 8 hours just to get its HP Gain from level 7 to 8. Toram didn't have to make the skill leveling so ridiculously impossible. Getting a pet with a nature and weapon AND type that isn't too far off from the one you want who also happens to get the skill in the first place was difficult enough. But now any pet with a starting skill level below 4 is not even viable to use in fusing. The whole RNG-dependent system really sucks. They should've just made the grind for each level the same regardless of where the pet started.

Yup it suck it actually took me months gathering pets(rng suck and stats u need dont just drop on your face every hour). Then days of feeding, decipline to look for the lvl4 or 5 skill Of the planned legacy skill. Every pet that did not get the needed skill is fused to oblivion or thrown back in the wild

Hey Xiavu. Did you manage to get your pets back from the recent pet compensation?

Yeah. Do you think it's reasonable to just give up and pass on HP Gain level 8 and HP Absorb level 8 to my vampire tank instead of trying to hit 10 for both? My pets are already too far in level to just release them or try to fuse a low level fodder with level 10 skill into one of them.

You do know that only one of the two can be passed to the next generation if the two skill belongs to a single pet.
This is why looking and filtering fodder pets is so hard. The 2nd inherited skill have to be at least level 5 (since they always get disposed in favor of passing the legacy skill to the next generation)

I got some perros back but these are not the batch that i have chosen as the devoted meat tank set(i was aiming for at least 300-ish power to boost matk and to boost heal amount of the lvl4 heal legacy skill i waz working with)

If heavy blow is your legacy skill you have options for the 2nd.
    Vampire- hp absorb
    Double striker- mp gain

Long range is always good for pets since it would focus more on generating damage/aggro/ampr.

Yes, I'm aware. I have the skills on two different pets. So is it reasonable to only pass level 8 skills onto my vampire tank instead of trying to get both of them to 10? What do you think?

Ahh, that really sucks. It hurts to lose so much progress on the pets.

Best to cap the one that ur gonna be using. Because after you passed the skill there will be an annoying whisper behind your skull and you will always be unsatisfied with your pet's performance which you can only blame yourself for being impatient.
Btw between hpgain and absorb i prefer absorb since you can always pump vit but healing your pet have a cast time. It may come a bonus that instead of healing your pet, you are focused on attacking instead. Well, that is just my opinion.

Ahh, I see. Thanks for the advice!

It's a shame that there isn't more information on just how much HP Absrob improves for each level.

The best combo for a dps pet would be lvl 10 lance/raging, lvl 10 hp absorb + lvl 10 hp gain (for further survivability). The last one you gotta roll on your finished pet after fusion...

[Fyi I'm back on training up my gentle pet with a capped-but-rolled-back lance skill... lvl 8+92% and counting! ]

Very commendable effort since i took the cowards way out and roll the dice for a lvl 5 magic lance skill. The inner ring is easy to roll since you can always choose it first time every time. For a legacy skill it is always best to cap them skills.
