Pets 102/Basic Vampire tank pet build

In my understanding, consider it like weapon attack power (and without all the hassle of refines)

 

U need to dicipline ur pet to have a skill. Most players forget this crucial first step and just pump stat all over the pet. What usually end up is a pet that just do auto attacks forever and nothing else. At least giv the poor guy rage attack or better yet any of the 1mp buff (if ur lucky both).

Now I'm a little confused. Wasn't there a screenshot of someone who had a Caspy with pet power of 10,000 but it added 10,000 points to both ATTK and MATTK despite it using an MD? So Pet Power won't only add to MATTK in their case?

 

Yeah that was considered a bug which has been fixed now. Pet atk power is now capped at 2x character level limit (i.e. 2x 175 = 350 atk)

 

Oh no, that wasn't my question. I was wondering if Pet Power added to only ATTK, if it added to only MATTK, or if it added to both.

 

Pet power is added to both. Same properties like weapon attack on our stats that add to both atk & matk.

Pet power:
Atk & matk pet stat

Weapon attack
Atk & matk char stat

good thing too, since it is 3 pages deep since the last time i saw this poor child of mine. and inquiry about the pet builds is heating up like a freshly lit firewood, i only find it ironic being bumped up in November after it start smelling like a coffin in here. altho it be a dream if this baby be included in the pink lady's list of guides. (since having a thread pinned in this section is impossible lol!)

sadly all i can do nowadays is to lurk around since my device methaphorically blew up. and im working my butt off to save up for a new one to replace my potato phone. maybe this time i can post vids on how crappy my gameplay is and showcase pets more. i give my heartfelt thanks to anyone keeping this thread alive and kicking after all this time(highest views in this section makes me tear up in joy).

at best it be some basic pet tanking/ mini boss lure technique. since i got experienced in tanking for party on my way to 150.
heck best if some dude upload that kind of vid it be best to link up for reference. it was kind of basic anyway,
1. make your pet attack the mini boss, best if you have backstep. if not, a normal attack is good. make sure your pet have aggro.
2. quickly kill the nearest normal monster. so that your pet will reset to follow mode while holding aggro on mini boss.
3. run back to your team's safe zone, make your pet resume attack when you get there. best if it got rage attack landed first before you give it to the plebs... i mean your team mates. kill leisurely and save hp pots.
4. pump pet support, keep your pet spamming for aggro sake. if a team mate dies he is ether a duche or just plain dumb.

watching too many cringey pet vids made me spat out this technique, saddens me that this floating tank play style is not utilized to the fullest long ago.(and yes, this is how i played with pets in a party.) gonna add this info upfront when i finally able to buy a new device. it is hard to type and edit stuff with my decade old netbook that have a broken keyboard(and also yes, i type this crap on a on-screen keyboard with a friggin track pad)

 

Trying to characterize the Vampiric pet skill Absorb HP has been giving me headaches. I couldn't get consistent results... but I think I have a piece of the puzzle figured out. I ended up looking at five pets with AHP-10, with a good variety of MATKs. My rough estimate for the amount of HP returned is:

HP restored is roughly (100 + 10% of damage done) for level 10 Absorb HP.
As far as I can tell, this holds for normal attacks as well as Rage Attack.

I suspect there is 1% return per level of AHP. I took a couple of measurements for normal attacks from @Lenwok 's DARKPLUM pure pet video (AHP-5) and those look to be about 5% (to the extent that a 3 pixel change in health bar can be said to "nail down" an estimate). I'm gonna say ... (10)*(slvl) + (1%)*(slvl)*(dmg) ... is a likely candidate. Roughly. Don't quote me.
