Phantom Slash comment & ideas

I guess that what happened with BK is probably due to the double slash of GS being a set of attacks, not separated ones (and, as we know, sets of attacks work like this: if the first hit connects, the rest does; if not, the rest misses as well). So he got attacked before Phantom got to apply the invincibility buff and the second attack of the double slash connected due to it being in an attack set.

130% phantom damage
Astute,shadowstep lvl1 (save), hardhit (con),trigger lvl6 (cons),phantomslash (smite),rampage (smite)

Faster version 110%phantom dmg
Astute,shadow1 (save),trig6 (con),phantom (smite),rampage (smite)

Should have less than 1000 mp

 

If youre going to do 150% full smited shadow i suggest you use shadowstep wuth high level so it wpuld surely crit and your mp wont go to waste.

 

Well, here's mine (careful, unaware newbie speaking here!):
Astute(Max)>Sneak Attack(Max, Save)[>Hard Hit(Lvl 5 - 10, Consecutive); if you feel that the combo is unsafe]>Trigger Slash(Lvl 6, Consecutive)>Phantom Slash(Max, Smite)> Shadowstep(Any lvl, Consecutive)

Reasoning and replacements:
- I do not like Shadowstep being used as a Save fodder. It brings a crit rate and AMPR bonus that should not be wasted. This is why I use it as the combo ender, so that I get that sweet AMPR boost for setting up the next combo and crit rate boost for higher damage on Astute.
- Sneak Attack limits the aggro you get using this combo, and is a good investment if you are planning to get Quick Draw (in the future though, not enough Skill Points for it rn)
- War Cry can replace Sneak Run for that damage boost but you use up 100 more MP (non-issue with Quick Draw), waste more Skill Points for it, and it needs to be set up (apparently, it needs to be charged; anyone can confirm this for me?)
- Trigger is semi-fast, but you can speed it up with Swift. Makes you use 200 more MP, but it's a non-issue with sufficient AMPR/Quick Draw/if you plan to prorate for your combo.
- Like Cask mentioned, you can replace Shadowstep with Lvl 1 Rampage (and limit your MP to 9 bars) if you feel that you get too much aggro with this combo.

 

Hi.. i wana ask how are this new skills dmg on u guys .. How much are phantom slash dmg average per hit? Im usuallt 400non crit 900crit per hit. Sometimes 1.2k - 2.3k perhit.. my results from green dragon fight using his weapon

 

ive been playing DW when it was first release which is the Classic Twin Slash DPS. i do have updated my guide for my DW since i have some players requested to update and build a new DPS with the new skill.

 

I finally got phantom slash for my main and my dex agi dw

 

Then I won't post a guide on my build. Since I basically borrowed your combo. I added Hard hit in position 2 and it worked wonders against Roga. That's all I have to contribute ^^

 

these are my combo :
my playstyle is always have 2 combo to combine.
astute and twinslash is your damaging skill
pslash is your run away skill

Twin slash > Astute/spinslash (Smite) > sstep(save) > pslash(swift)

Astute > HH(consec) > twinslash(consec)

donr forget to max mp voost and ampr ^^

@Cypherian has some really good combos, especially using ST after PS to ensure that you don't walk into a hit, also, that charging slash at the end makes you a badass in my book anyday

 

Its fine to post your build guide. I plan to remake my DW. Im not quite satisfied with Phantom Slash DPS in saver Combo tho its fun getting Tank/Breaker Rank with it.
As of now im thinking if im going back to Classic DW Twin Slash DPS or Maximize Phantom Slash DPS with Impact (tho my prob with phantom slash is the combo animation for impact+phantom Combo)

Well just incase some here know more information about these skills "Charging Slash" and "Godspeed"
Just 2 Question:
1: Charging Slash whats your highest damage with this skill buff with Smite @lvl90+
2: Godspeed what are those certain skills? (Some say it doesnt increase DW skills)

 

I can do 4k highest on level 5 and on 4th skill cons.

i only had it at level 5 since forever but im gonna max it. the damage it does is almost at par with twin slash. 2-3 hits i think

I am NOT running face flat into a wall again, so no Charging slash for me ^^

Godspeed increases damage for unsheath attacks which in your combo, after Trigger slash, it's guaranteed unsheath as you change from 1h to dual. However, Unsheath tailsman helps a lot. My damage is now very stable at Roga doing 780 / 980 per hit X 12 on Phantom slash = 9360 / 11760 total. It's the only combo that can smite and swift (with Trigger slash buff) a Phantom slash, I love how spammable it is and still retain a constant output. I Sniped lower than that with my Sniper ^^

Max damage i can deal on a level 5 Smited Charging Slash

 

Can we all just take a moment and pray for all the raffies, warmongers, lavacras and forestias killed by us toramians to test our skill dmg...T^T cri man cri

 

If charging around does not slow you down, the damage is comparable to 1h-fu ^^
