PhongTom's Solo Archer Build Guide (Infinitive MP spam)

After long time with bowgun, but so boring, so i chose to become an Archer. I want to share my build here:

Type 1: Solo Combo - Recommended:

Set 1: Moeba - Smoke dust (save) - Power shot (swift) - Impact (cons) - Snipe (smite)
Set 2: Smash - Power shot (swift)

Type 2: Full long combo, better SNIPE's damage, but less survivability:
Moeba - Smoke dust (save) - Power shot (Swift) - Para shot (cons) - Impact (Cons) - Snipe (Smite)

Optional combo (like Solo combo but don't need set 2):
Moeba - Para shot (save) - P.shot (swift) - Impact (Cons) - Snipe (Smite) - Smoke dust (Smite)​

This is my Spammer Snipe Build (not a true heavy 1-hit Sniper) with advantages are:
- With Bow, Snipe lv10 has higher crit rate, inflict Guard Break
- Average to High Snipe's DMG (not is the best as 400MP combo Impact + Snipe), at least 6-8/10 compared to 400MP combo.
- Don't need spend SP in Short Rest & MP Boost.
- Inflict many Status ailment with very high chance.
- Infinite Combo spam with 100 MP cost, help you a lot in long fight.
- Easy to solo and handle yourself with Solo combo (2x Tumble chance)

By the way, this combo also has these disadvantages:
- Take long time to do Snipe
- High aggro, high interrupt chance by boss's attack
- Need to know the time boss will do Skill atk, Normal atk
- Although in Type 2 combo, Smite make 150% DMG of Snipe, in this combo SNIPE NEVER REACH the top 1-hit Snipe's DMG in 400 MP combo (Impact + Snipe), due to DMG drop when spammed a lot Physical Skill in combo before Snipe

STAT BUILD: Focus DEX
Weapon: Bow
Sub: Elemental Arrow
SKILL BUILD (lv cap 85):
* Shot skill:
- Power shot 10
- Bullseye 5
- Snipe 10
- Moeba 5
- Para shot 5
- Smoke Dust 1
- Sneak attack 1~10
- Shot mastery 5
- Long bow 5
- Quick Draw 10

* Survival skill
- Safe rest 5
- HP boost 10
(Short rest & MP boost are optional, you can build if you have enough SP)

* Battle skill:
- Attack up 5
- Smash 5
- Crit up 10

* Magic skill
- Impact 7
- MP Recharge 1

* Martial skill
- Smash 1 (for solo combo)​

- Gear Bow ns +8
- Ice Arror
- Oracle Robe +6 / Crit +2
- Hero Scarf
- Dex Talis II ns (in Masked video I use Muscle II / Eerie)​

okay, i'm not good at analyzing.. but here's some of my points.

pros:
1. this combo only consume 1mp bar, one alternative to spam skills without the need of normal attacking to regain MP.

2. the snipe damage potential is ++ in this combo build.

3. the combo provides ailment skill that'll help a lot when it proceed.

4. better survivability with this build cause we can pick HP boost over MP boost. (optional)

cons:
1. it takes long time to cast the snipe than the (moeba>impact>snipe>Bulleye) combo, but in this combo it can deal hard snipe damage deal. so, it depends on how you make this combo valueable

2. this combo will take aggro, most likely always. so i think sneak attack is a must. (but still not sure on sneak attack mechanics)

3. hard to execute snipe, especially when we got the aggro, theres chances we will get tumbled,knocked back,flinched down by boss attacks. (*cough* Roga).

conclusion:
1. we need to take care the aggro problems to spam this combo. (need to test/confirm sneak attack mechanic)

2. we need to make sure that the snipe attack will deal high damage so we can compete with the current combo that cast shorter.

 

I will make another video with Bow, because this combo work great with Bow user

Can someone please explain the 1mp mechanism?

I still don't quite understand how the listed combos consumes 1mp only? no mp needed after chained save effect?

Hi phong... ive seen the videos you can speed up kill time by using the new potion for aspd... you can take stability fast and spam skill more often... good damage at mauez from the 3rd vid... nice work ^_^

Pro = High aggro, Best smited snipe dmg, Awesome omni-debuffer, Rank hog potential.
Cons : High aggro, Rank hogging.

I just wanna do fair battle without drugs
btw, I'm following Archer based weapon, which more stable and can handle myself since i always be a tanker with my long combo

 

hahaha life without drugs is boring lol jk... well i just thought your build could do solo anything since most angles are covered...

 

This combo is great for solo, except fast moving bosses such as Roga:

How fast lvl.10 Power Shot (swift) compared to lvl.5 Power Shot (swift)?

 

I see still take 1s to shoot, but better Tumble chance

Why did you recommend Gear Bow? It reduces critical rate by -50%

 

You saw my solo Masked Vid? My Snipe always crit with my build and just used 1 xtal crit rate +2
