Priest

There is a new skilltree added in the new update and some people have been wondering if it's any good so I decided to try it with a new character slot.Here are the skills in the skilltree if anyone is intrested. Pls note that the skills Bless and Gloria both give supporter ratings in parties despite being self-buff skills XP.

Holy Light

Skill Descriptions:
Bless : Restore HP a little at fixed intervals.The heal amount and duration depend on skill lvl. (MP cost 100/1 MP bar)
Holy Fist : Smite evil with Light elemental punch.Deals physical damage at the same time.It is catagorized as a physical skill. (MP cost 100/1 MP bar)
Gloria : Increases DEF and MDEF for a short time.Guard rate will also increase if you equip a shield. (MP cost 100/1 MP bar)
Holy Light : Punish evil monsters with the power of Light element.Deals magic damage ignoring a part of the target's defence. (MP cost 200/2 MP bars)

Not a bad skilltree overall,but it's not like the Support skilltree,which contains party-buff skills and target heal.Although the Priest skilltree does have an immediate attack (Holy Fist is almost like a Brawler skill,with magic).Also,light element magic. (One of a kind!)
This skilltree,along with all the other skilltrees can be purchased from Lilulu in the Library in Sofya.
100s for the base skilltree (if it's your very first secondary skilltree)
1000s for upgrade to lvl 2 (Upgrades are special;they only cost 1000s from 1st to 2nd)
Lilulu's a stinger;the more skilltrees you have,the more expensive it gets.

Anyone used any of these skill? I'm curious how good or useful they are. Holy light seem to be a neat skill to have later on.

 

I already said I was testing it with my new character on the original post...and I used all the skills to write this guide/review.
Holy Light ignores part of the target's defence so it is pretty useful for quick dmg...since it's 100 MP/1 MP bar
Gloria/Bless I gives support rankings for the low low price of 100-200MP (Idk how self-buff counts as supporting but whatever lol)
Holy Fist is basically a magic enhanced bash so yeah...a speedy skill for mages I guess

 

I've been experimenting with the priest skill and found that Bless and Gloria affect the entire party, so it's good to maintain the hp of an entire party. I also noticed that the amount healed by bless increases with matk. Imo it seems more useful in party healing than mini heal, since that uses 3 mp bars, though idk how much mini heal can heal. Bless also heals five times within a 5 second period at level 10. In total, my priest can heal 445 hp per cast. With the overtime heal I can easily sneak in some magic arrows for dps. Hope this helps.

I'd find it to be very strange if a priest class had only self-buff skills lol. Since they would usually heal and buff others, I'd think that bless and gloria are pt buffs. >~<

If I may ask, how long the duration buff for gloria?

 

Looks like it is 30 seconds at lvl 5. After adding another skill point, the duration seems to have stayed the same, so I don't think increasing the lvl raises how long it lasts. Not really sure though.

 

I found that holy light works best after break... I'm a level 29 priest, with Max holy fist, after break and cast holy light onto wolf, holy fist damage can go up to 1.5k average...
And also, holy fist does not have any cast time... so you can spam it with magician ring

 

May I ask what level your holy light is? And what's the average damage for it? I only have 1 point on it since i use magic arrows instead.

 

how much def, mdef and guard rate gloria increase?
When I cast gloria and then check my stats, I see no increase in def or mdef.

 

My holy light is at 10... the damage ranges from 200+ to 1.9k

 

I get that dmg range at lvl 5,might just be my int-only build affecting that...

 

i test holy fist and found something strange
its average dmg is just like the summation of my ATK and MATK (slightly higher) and almost have no change with difference level of the skill.
maybe its damage growth rate with respect to the skill level is very low?
or maybe my test character had not enough stats to see the difference.
anyone please confirm.
if the growth rate is not that high then i may put only one skill point in holy fist.

I do 650-1k depending on RNG lol.
My Holy Fist is at lvl 5,and I'm lvl 42 pure int.
My current int stands at 125.

 

I monitored the damage difference... I think there's a difference of 50 damage per level... my int is at 57

Currently I'm 26, int of 91, dealing about 900+ on gobs, fist at lvl 10.
I realized holy fist has something to do with hp %, take for example gobs, hit it with fist, it deals 600+ damage. After I attack with staff and uses fist, the damage when up to 1.1k. I tried to hit gob twice with staff, the damage went up to 1.6k.

I tried this on an archer, witout attack, just fist, the damage is about 300+, but with attack + fist, the damage can go up to 700+

 

Sorry, but it's really hard to tell. As you said, I can't see any stat change in def and mdef. However, it's definitely there. After taking Volg's ignite attack, I noticed that it doesn't take as much hp than when I don't have the buff. As for guard rate, idk. Still, it's hard to tell. >.<

 

According to the tests, Holy Fist damage is so unstable.
Could that because of they are different kind of damage?

I'm still confused to the damage system in this game.
Being attacked by a kind of damage ( physical attack, physical skill, magical skill )
,some enemies will have their resistance against that kind of damage increased
while the resistance against the other kind of damage are decreased if I remembered correctly.

So attacking with normal attack can give the enemy more resistance toward physical attack
while decreases its resistance toward physical skill and magical skill which could make Holy Fist (physical skill) more stronger.

I'm not sure though.
The way to test this is to use a physical skill to the enemy first
then follow with Holy Fist (physical skill too)
If damage got higher then it's because of hp %
But if the damage is lower maybe it's because of the effect from those resistances toward difference kind of attack.

My character is mage and have no other physical skill more than Holy Fist though.
