NOTE : Im talking about the "support skill" tree, is it possible to build a class around it? i tried doing it and failed horribly, mostly because i lack the equipment and spina to actually make it work as well as experience since only been playing this game for about 121 Hrs [Total Playtime] or is it just not viable for the current meta? any aspiring "PURE SUPPORT" players there? and NO im not talking about tank, just support skills. and as far as i can tell there are too many disadvantage than advantage to being a support like :

1.SUPPORT SKILLS Requires a lot of MP as well as generate a heck of a lot of AGRO to you.
    2. You cant combo your SKILLS, i tried doing and thought of putting it on Save and Swift [just a basic combo for buff] but it seems to not appear on the combo list of skills you can use.
    3. 1Hit on a Mob/Boss then all your buffs? GONE, i was SHOOK when this happen to me first hand a single hit from minotaur made all my [8] buffs disappeared and now im stuck in here thinking why the !$@/#/!^ would asobimo make this skill tree? or did they simply not thought that someone would go full support or what?
    4. Other than you having a threat for your buffs to be gone in a flash, those buffs actually doesn't do anything that amazing just a "SLIGHT" buff with a lot of CONS to it without LITTLE to NONE PROS.
    5. After learning the game for a lot of time and paying attention to all the "Skill Tree" i realized that SUPPORT SKILLS is NOT NEEDED why? because why bother buffing attack when you have WAR CRY that everyone has access to? why bother Buff Evasion Rate when you can cast REFLEX with no CAST TIME whatsoever and only 1MP instead of Quick Motion that has casting time as well as 3MP? and many more.....
    6. I just dont think making a support is worth it unless you got a lot of time on your hands or you pretty much stacked up on spina and dont know where to spend it.

PS: Anyone Wanna Change My Mind? :p also i know that these became kind of a RANT but i think i have a reasonable reason why i did.

The evasion rate cap is 75% is it not? If Asobimo made the cap 95% or even just 80% specifically for support players (Must satisfy a certain qualification before buff is applied to avoid abuse) then Pure Support would indeed be viable.

I've seen what those buffs can do, and honestly they make things a lot easier as a dps. I've seen my aspd go from 4k to 7.5k from a support player, and my damage increase by about 50 - 70k.

That said. Being a support player is still possible and viable as of now, it just needs a minor improvement to the skills. There are few and far between when it comes to pure support players, but i've seen them.

It's a class built around evasion rate to avoid getting hit in my opinion. With the cap, getting hit 1/4 of the time isn't so bad if you play cautiously. It's possible to not get hit at all during a boss fight. Sneak (Shot skill) is also an option, which completely hides the aggro from your skills. Mp Recharge + maximizer instantly heals 1.5k mana or 1.7k depending on whether you use a staff or md.

There are plenty of people making a full support build. The build itself is there and its completely viable, the problem is whether its able to become meta or not.

Aggro shouldn't be problem, as we can jUST use -100% aggro gears.
If you use staff/md, mp won't be a problem because you can use maximizer
Toram is basically a classless game, the suppory tree itself are used by many builds, skills like recovery is needed by kairiki users, sanctuary for tanks, brave aura used by mages, cf and halberds. Heal is good to get for those who have spare sp, such as finale mages.

Sneak doesn't hide the aggro of support skills.
Evasion doesn't work on most aoes, even if the cap increases, doesn't mean you won't get hit at all

Ahh that's unfortunate. But i've seen a full evasion build before, I'd say it's still plausible. Thanks for correcting me though.

Probably we will need to wait for dancer and minstrel skill tree for a good support build. But idek if those skills are support type

The support skills that are very worth using are:-
    --Mana recharge
    --Brave Aura
    --Quick motion
Rest all aura based skills are very underwhelming in terms of actual bonuses.
--High cycle is good but its mostly useful for yourself to reduce cast instead of your party.
--Magic barrier is alright at best again tanks do not need it coz p.def so its only really for other party members which considering if they dont already die in 1 hit from a boss.
--Life recovery is pretty mediocore hp heal and again absolutely not needed on the top of it, makes you thin as a paper. Only use it if you have high or max VIT and can survive a bit hit.
--Immunity is just bad RNG ailment resistance. For ailment resistance you either go 100% or you dont go at all.
--Fast reaction is the WORST of them all since evasion and guard itself are very poor mechanics (For now at least) and how little of boost it actually gives you.

--Recover is an extremely good support skill.
--Heal can be ok if used on tanks tho not really needed as long as pdef exists.
--First aid is very good to have on mercenaries if you like to solo farm with them not needed much in regular parties if everyone is skilled enough to not die.

I suggest trying chakra supporter. With very high cspd and aspd you can spam chakra giving a big mp surge on your party as if everyone had casted a 100m range decoy with 100ampr each. Chakra as a skill in general is pretty overlooked despite its utility.

It is very viable, however a full support becoming meta is kinda unlikely. Being a full supp is kinda fun too plus boss runs that has a good sup can go quite well.

    1. In terms of MP usage, it's kinda okay tbh problem is you need maximizer for it. In regards of aggro from initial mp cost, there's staffs that has a -100% aggro stat which I would say very essential. There's also more though, aggro generated by having aura skills active, it's simple really, don't use them all and just use certain skills that would be perfect for your party.
    2. Welp, I just suck it up. Although since there's perfect defense, some people would do full dex for cspd and use god speed wield.
3-4. For the threat, you need a very good understanding on the enemy you're fighting also need to have some team work with your party tank (if there's a tank). Also, I wouldn't say slight. Heal, Brave aura, Immunity and Quick motion gives a lot for other players, while the other might be kinda small it still gives a lot of convenience to other players (although high cycle is very optional but it does help you in a way since it gives a hefty amount of cspd and all).
    5. Again, brave aura is a very good support skill. Evasion has always been a kinda meh mechanic (also i think you meant fast reaction) and i doubt they would get reflex at lvl 10 just for evasion, they mostly bought a lvl 1 stargem of it. Although, it's kinda true that it's not really needed since it's a pain and there's a lot of new enemies that does field wide aoe and such although they're extremely helpful in some enemies.
    6. Being a support is kinda cheap actually, it's more of if you have extra characters slots too.

    Yes it is

my cleric (full support mage) is now level 165 and I still got 24 sp left to spare

the way I see it for a full support..... you either

    1) max your evasion as much as possible
    2) pull down your aggro as low as possible

anyways check this thread... I lined here equipments, skills and strategies on how to be a cleric in toram

    https://toramonline.com/index.php?threads/cleric-build-the-way-of-the-support.44490/

    I hope it helps

Reflex (or any 1mp starter) -> Chakra (Save) -> Magic: Impact (Swift, End)

then cast Chakra again manually, use the combo, manual cast, combo, manual cast... Eternal Chakra...

IMO full support is not viable because toram system itself. in low difficulty boss/normal/hard usually all party member is dps, even tank doesnt needed. while in high difficulty/nm/ulti, it will 1 tank + 3 dps, let a full support join party meaning it will reduce dps to 2 causing boss battle take longer and its bad. beside all usefull support skill doesnt need many point, dps char can use it too. cf can use brave aura (15point), finale mage with bless+adv.bless (25point), tank with aegis/protection and anyone can take first aid. other aura skills is bad anyway.

Still disagree with immunity being useful. If the enemy has inflict rate of 200% or more immunity will do nothing at all. And yes 200% inflict rate on enemy attacks is possible, again either go 100% or dont go at all.

I had no problem with nm Ornlarf using my cleric

I had a party with a tank, finale mage and an archer cf user

I got to boost their attack, everyone's HP is healed and when one dies, it does not take long to resurrect them (max first aid) and removing ailments

the main auras I used are brave aura and mana regen.

but they're most useful in mini bosses. especially against the likes of seraph machina.

well I did put it on my guide the downside of a cleric, usually gets kicked cause they were underestimated

Well, I personally prefer 1tank+3dps rather than 1tank+1support+2dps. beside cf user often have brave aura and some finale mage have bless/heal making them semi dps/support anyway. so why need full support when we can have dps support.

heal, recovery from status ailments, insta resurrect.

With very low aggro, you won't get chased by monsters.

I guess thats why 96% ailment resist is not good enough for some bosses. 100% is absolute, but if the inflict rate is like 150%, 150% - 96%=54%.
