Pursuit Halberd

Hi guys! I want to introduce a badboy contender that you may find interesting.
This is a build I came up with when experimenting with katana. Just want to share and see what you guys think of it. This build focuses on strike stab as it's damage dealer.

Skills trees: 175 skill points
Magic- just get impact to level 7 and get atleast lvl 1 mp charge.
Mononofu- I took lvl 10 two handed and lvl 1 shukuchi, meikyo shisui lvl 10.
Knight- lvl 10 assault attack for slow status ailment for better strike stab dmg.
Blade- I took lvl 10 war cry for dmg buff.
Halberd- lvl 5 Flash stab, lvl 10 strike stab, lvl 10 Halberd mastery, lvl 10 critical spear.
Shot- lvl 10 quick draw for more mp
Survival- lvl 10 mp boost also for mp
Battle- lvl 5 atk up, lvl 5 whack, lvl 10 crit up, lvl 1 intimidating power (had to sacrifice these atk ups for warcry)

Combo 1 (cp used: 10) strike stab 130%
1mp- Flash stab>warcry(save)>assault attack(swift)>meikyo shisui(cons)>strike stab(smite)> impact(cons)
Combo 2 if used right after combo 1 is 3mp
cp used is 6, 150% strike stab.
Impact> meikyo(cons) strike stab(smite)>flash stab(cons)

Combo for tumble sensitive Boss
1mp, 6 cp, 90% strike stab
assault attack>meikyo shisui(save)>strike stab(smite)>flash stab(cons)

Or​

1mp, 8cp, 110% strike stab
assault attack>warcry(save)>meikyo (cons)>strike stab(smite)>flash stab(swift)

Fast combos, maneuverability, True DPS (in my opinion).

Not sure what happened here but dealt 124k per stab.

 

I like the non Dagger just pure Halberd build you're doing , but its better if warcry lvl1-9 if you're party wise , but if you like to solo , go for Warcry lvl10 then , because you might Overwrite a better Warcry user* (2h especially)
Also be careful because using assault attack means you're getting up close and personal with the boss (0-1meter) and some mobs like it when you get too close so they could unleash some devastating aoe's.
Other than that this build has potential , good luck making a video on it

 

Thanks for the advise! I did not know that's how warcry worked. I'll try going with lvl 1 warcry then add meikyo in the mix. Just have to figure how and where to add meikyo in my combo. Assault attack is the only status ailment skill I can find usable by halberd without using any sub weapon. I used to be a halb dagger but my dmg has increased significantly ever since I thought up of this build.

 

I came up with something like that, but for crit rate, can we get 100%?

 

only add meikyo into combo ONLY when its lvl10 , because at lvl1 you only get Crit Rate +20 and Crit Damage Reduction of -15% !
Also put Meikyo before Strike Stab Smite , I dont really think you need Impact though if you're going just Strike Stab

 

100% crit rate is possible with some good Crit Rate from equips

 

Impact makes combo 2 possible at 2mp cost. I'm not really a fan of long combos just to get the additional 50% from smite tag.

 

Well then , I guess you can do a 2mp combo with what's on your mind :3

Dragon Ears is okay if you wanted more dmg but the best Boost for Str type is Tyrant Mask , or if you're a crit rate addict like me , go Gothic Hat +14 or +15

 

Still saving up for those. I'm actually planning on getting tyrant mask but im out of budget atm. I got the drag ears with proto leon for cheaps from a friend who stopped playing.

 

Well I didnt say Dragon Ears was bad Because it gives Crit Damage +5% while Meikyo does Crit Damage -5% xD

 

That makes sense. Btw, I have crit as my personal stat and it's at 70, do I still need meikyo. Even with it i still dont crit 100% on my s.stab

 

I have bad news for you, strike stab has crit penalty. Most halberd user didn't put any stat in crit because the bigger the Crit the bigger the penalty

 

I knew that , that's why its only wise to use crit equips , NOT crit stat points and I have 0 CRT stat btw

 

Here I go spending on this game again.

What would you suggest on my stat distribution with the equips I have?

 

Max Str then go Agi , Mine was putting 55 agi first for Aspd + Quick Aura to reach 1k aspd and then Max Str , then continue agi
