Q: Why katana so RIP ?

Can someone somehow tell me, a more detailed explanation on why katana is too RIP now?

Nahh its not rip, just harder work higher rewards.

Tenryu is super strong BUT in spammy bosses (literally every boss lol) its hard to manage 30secs plus 10+secs is used for tenryu charging.

And new katana skills arnt aoe plus dragon tooth too, u see katana and helbard being dead too right? 'Pro player meta' farms multi minibosses in 1 go and chariot is weak, so no knuck users. Meteor loses half dmg on aoe, but its fastest damager.

Tldr its no point arguing, humans like bullying after all. Its like all 2h hates tempest nowadays, bullying is fun

Well simply because rn, garyou is too hard to use and takes too long to use,so it's not good considering that it requires heavy spamming, and being the coolest looking,most will go to it and expect greatness while underestimating the op dmg of tenryu, so they just consider ktn as.dead or weak and report you when you beat a finale or crossfire in the team,I literally got kicked so much times when I'm not in a ktn team,either People calling me a spammer despite using auto 2 times before every tenryu and heavily using the tenryu auto to recover mp, that or cringy finale member complaining how I'm a cheater when I out dmg him,I met by far the cringiest people complaining to me lol, especially at deniala,I did take a SS for proof tho
so to any newbie reading this,pls lol don't listen to people's opinions about classes,try it yourself and try to do what people aren't,I do realize I sound like I'm bragging,but I'm honestly trying to advise you guys, instead of spending so much trying to change to another class that is main stream now,just play the class you love and if that class is outdated or weak maybe, who cares lol

 

And before anyone decides to saw I'm just a katana weeb or anything,let me include the downsides of it and the advantage of it, downside is that I uses a huge amount of mp and needs fast usage with a moderate amount of auto to prorate it for the team,the mp usage is definitely huge but with ampr gear , healing mp is easy with tenryu buff with around 1mp bar per auto for me,and you'll need to use it fast and wisely to out dmg anyone, advantage is,as I researched with my friend,it can deal abt 2m dmg in 40 secs, used wisely and with enough proration

 

Actually every class can give a good amount of dmg if the condition fulfilled.
Katana can deal high dmg both with tenrou or ganryu, but the condition is quite... Time consuming. If you play smart, you can easily surpass any class (as long as not a short run or >1min).
Meteor breaker is the easiest and has high dmg compare to other and has invincibility, the only problem (or demerit... Maybe) is that, its meele.
Chariot is strong and easy to use. The problem is knux base stat is f**king low. You can fix it by becoming staff/sword fu.
Dragon tooth is strong, very easy to use. The demerit is it has no bonus power(or power constant). Also, depend on playstyle, prorating is kinda hard.
Mage is... The most brain dead... Aslongas there is tank/some1 hold aggro. You can use - aggro equip too.
Cross fire has a loooong charge time. But reeealy high dmg imo. And you must avoid all attacks.

So, why ktn (looks) rip? In short run, it can be overpowered with other due to their easier to use nature. But! Actually if played correctly, ktn dmg is still godly imo.

 

Ps: If you dont like thinking, go finale path.

just being frank here. for someone using a mage with high int, that user obviously has no int irl. why is he even complaining about skill spamming whereas someone spamming physical skills will simply make magic skills damage higher? a skill spammer also tends to draw more aggro letting the mage finale all day at the back.

I see it simply as his ego was hurt so bad that hes just finding an excuse. at the end if the day, someone who thinks will still beat a brainless character whatever class it uses.

 

I think its good that less people use katana
Coz its easier to do prorate even if u use katana or any other class

Maybe it's time that Katana users step out of their spotlight after tier 4 skills implementation and for Mages who used to be really underrated to step in

 

I understand your statement,however,if balance is what is meant by this,what balance would it give by nerfing a class which only purpose is for dps? unlike mages that can also be used to farm,katana class doesn't have any other use,I'm not saying that asobimo Should make mages weak,I'm saying that they have nerfed katana a little too severely with the garyou conditions, crit rate reduction,it's multiplier being not as high as it should be since it takes time to reach the conditions, it's a matter of balance that's the issue

 

Nope, Katana is not needed after the 4th tier release, just that they used to be the most op DPS, but their 4th tier is is not as significantly powerful compared to let's say mages or halberd. Mages before tier 4 skill release has been lost in the battle DPS, but now they have a comeback, but what I don't like is many people flocking to be mages just because of their revamp. But to cast the op finale, they use up a lot of mp and not only that, it takes long to cast and attract a lot of aggro, so meanwhile they are very vulnerable, so they still have a price to pay. And if they get flinched or something, rip the spell XD

 

Garyou can do good dmg, but its not a good DPS skill.

im not sure if katana is needed by most people or not. (i hope it won't be needed, its harder to learn than mage anyway)
i dont have any intend to show off, but i often get 1st place as attacker on gwaimol, whether there's finale or cf user on pt
but maybe though, if there's so much katana user, i dont think i'll be often in 1st place attacker anymore

 

That's simply because it's a technical class,a class where its hard to learn and hard to use but rewarding if you know what you're doing,it's the direct opposite of mages if you ask me xD never get bored using katana,it's fun and takes actual skill to outdmg anyone these days
