Question about Certain Survival Skills

    Short Rest does not affect Sober Analysis?

    I tried to compare Lv5 Short Rest vs. Lv10 Short rest (both with Lv10 Sober Analysis) and it doesn't seem to have any changes (or the changes are so little, it became unnoticeable) while my character is in Battle Mode and I don't use any -Natural MP Regen equipment.

    The recovery rates are abysmal.

    For 'passive' HP recovery, bless from priest skill tree works best.

    For 'passive' MP recovery, only decoy shot and quick draw from shot skill tree work. Magic skill tree MP Charge works but is slow.

    If knuckles, just reset the character.

    short rest dont affect sober

    short rest only work outside of battle but sober work both inside/outside of battle

    out combat = short rest + sober
    in combat = sober

    if you want sober analysis extension you better get (Panic Regislet) with 2k mp and Panic you can get 30mp/3s (thats worth more than 10 attack mp recovery ratio)

    try using sober+panic (2k mp) and see the difference

    Those are new info to me, thank you !

    I have some Natural MP Regen avatar stats and I use NPC weapons (such as Eternal Melody Staff) so I'm trying to utilize my resources.
    Sober Analysis regenerates 100 MP around approximately 15 seconds, so it's really helpful for my finale user character (to maintain GSW, Stone Barrier, or 100-MP charge combo)
    I rarely use Panic because most of the recent bosses can aggro me for a second even with tank in my party (such as anniv EX Arenas) but when I use it, the total regen is approximately 250 MP per 15 seconds, which is more than enough to maintain MP dance... like a domino effect in MP to my party members.

    Unfortunately, I bought a Lv10 Short Rest Star Gem when it's cheap then used it for around 2 months, so I wasted a Star Gem slot (or "cost") and spinas for a not-too-efficient skill.

    How about skills like high cycle and quick motion buffs?
    Will those 2 buffs affect sober analysis in any way?

    high cycle does decrease normal natural mp regen so your sober also affect it

    assuming you have 2k mp and lv.10 high cycle your sober mp regen difference

    no high cycle = 10.5mp/3s
    high cycle = 7.8mp/3s

    Note : Panic Regislet is Fix 20mp/3s so you just lost 2.7mp/s in Sober with High Cycle Debuff

    So sober analysis doesn't just scale off max mp, but is also affected by natural mp regen.
    But short rest increases natural mp regen.

    Isn't panic rather useless, because all mp will be lost if you get aggro.
    That's far worse than getting hit and losing mp, like some buffs disappear when taking hit.

    panic drawback is easy to counter either get
    -aggro , spot on guardian buff

    also most average tank can beat initial aggro of all types of dps which panic drawback would only trigger if tank died or dc (which both case the run would mostly ruin for 3 glass cannon dps)

    in my experience even the entire party is wipe out i can still manage my mp with auto attack and sober alone (im not even decoy user or using ampr eq/xtall)

    Since high cycle decreases natural mp regen and would affect sober, wouldn't short rest reduce that a bit, because it increases natural mp regen?
    -aggro can be difficult to acquire with dps gears.
    And guardian buff increases self aggro, and reduces party members aggro, so that's a terrible buff.

    So I'm more interested in knowing that as you said that high cycles reduces natural mp regen and would in turn reduce sober mp regen.
    Wouldn't short rest reduce that a bit, by increasing natural mp regen?
