    5% per skill level =(^.^)=
didn't make it, but it should be great.
the thing with cover is, that you have to consider your own defences and the pet's hp.
damage received depends on your own stats. the transferred damage is direct damage and ignores the pet's stats.
if you are squishy, you should raise the pet's hp accordingly or it won't have a chance to recover.

My Pet Skelly has that, wasn't intended though.
    Cover + Absorb.
For absorb to be effective however it'd need more ATK x_x.

I have gone to Dps skill + hp absorb. More damage it makes more hp it absorbs. Got lucky on my prev fusion and got all 3 in one go, too bad luck didnt smile on me this time around tho. It was good tho, saved me bunch of times back then.

Only a pet owner that have a full support buffer/healer pet can answer that. All i got is a regenerative meat tank of a pet that do decent dps. It takes time... I mean it takes ages to test out a pet with certain parameters (and a whole crapload of luck) and it also takes space on the pet storage. At most one can plan out about 2-3 kinds of pets if they devote a lot of time on them.

First you have to be choosy to what kind of pet you take in since building a pedigree is a mile long walking journey.
Second you can mostly hold on to at least one level 10 pet skill for your (main/mother) pet. Or you can transplant it from a (fodder/father) pet. Every generation of fusion, always flushes out the skills. Only the 1 inherited skill remain. And take note that you can only take one from each parent.
Third, you have to be really lucky to get the set of skill you want. Both inherited skills and the first skill can be planned out, the last two have to rely on pure luck.
